ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Cowboys finished with three sacks against Buffalo. It was only the fifth time this season the Cowboys have had at least three sacks in a game.

Defensive end Greg Hardy was credited with a half-sack, giving him six on the season. Hardy will need two more sacks in the regular-season finale Sunday against Washington to reach eight, which would guarantee him a $500,000 bonus as part of his incentive-laced one-year deal.

Hardy will get 2 sacks in the next game !!!!

Hardy's situation is interesting. He's played himself out of a big contract but is still good enough to help the team. With a full year removed from suspension he could be much better next year. The PR hit is over and he's proven himself valuable in a valuable position in the past.

I hope we resign him.

If he's willing to take a 2-3 year deal I think he would be a great "solid" addition. He's not a complete game changer, but with DL depth being the name of the game, he makes some very game impactful plays a handful of times a year. When you think about people paying big for DT's with 8-10 sacks, him being flexible to move in there is a bonus. His motor is not in question and the PR thing will be forgotten by next year (already has IMO).

Maybe 2/18 or 3/25? I dunno the market to be honest.

I hope he signs. He's been good despite sitting in the garage for a year. I expected him to be great, but he's not a Demarcus Ware type. Hardy is a brutal player that brings it every play. Teammates seem to like him. Probably would benefit greatly from a better DT next to him. And it wouldn't kill Marinelli to blitz a little more and create some havoc.

A year of training camp, (hopefully) of good QB play and playing with a substantial lead more often, continued improvement by DLaw and the other young DL guys like Irving and Gregory, maybe add a stud front seven guy in the draft like Jack or Nkemdiche...could be a perfect storm for a great DL in 2017.

Hardy is a really good player and I'd love him back but we can't pay him 10M + per year.
At 8 or 9MM /yr I am in provided the guarantee isn't insane.

Hardy has played all along the DL and he does play hard with severe force.

Forget that noise. Dude had three sacks in the first two games and three in the last eight. Two sacks against the Jets, Bucs, Bills or Seahawks would have worked, but who the heck cares at this point.
