You can say Wilson's having a better year if you want -- and you could make an argument for a few others if you were so inclined -- but I'd like to know why a person would think so. Wilson isn't putting up better stats, and I have a hard time believing a Cowboys fan is spending a lot of time watching Cardinals games.

Fact is, our guy Roy is certainly in the argument for best SS in the NFC, so I don't see why a Cowboys fan would be downgrading him when there's not obviously a much better choice.

My suspicion is that some people get their jollies off by beating on Roy Williams over a message board.

Most of all, I want to know WHY.

If it's stats, fine, post em. I'll tell you right now there are some (Gibril Wilson) who have better stats this year than Roy. Don't know if that means they're better, though? Would you want Gibril over Roy? I know I wouldn't.

Is it overall impact on the game? Fine. But if that's the case, then I take it you've been scouting multiple games of that players team this year. If not, then are you just going off of "reputation"?

Fact is, we're fans. And while it's good and admirable to be objective... when all else is equal, you root for your guys. I have no problem doing that, but apparently others do.

Sorry, my post was unlcear. Adrian Wilson plays SS for the Cardinals. Taylor is lsited as a FS but has played SS in the past. He is versatile to play both. My mistake on Taylor being listed as a FS. That being said. Roy is not a complete safety like the other two, he's just not. I watch games in my #31 jersey but if you guys are blind to the holes in his game then I am not sure what to tell you. Adrian Wilson is the best SS in the NFC and Taylor would be right behind him if lined up there.

There is nothing I would like more than for Williams to be the best in teh NFC. If you watch some of the other guys play the position it is quite obvious that he has holes in his game. Good at run support? Check. Playmaker? Check. Liability in coverage? Check.

You may think Adrian is better, but certainly the argument can be made that Roy is better. Roy has more tackles per season, INTs per season, FFs per season, and passes defensed per season.

So, statistically speaking Roy has been better.

The idea that Adrian is hands down the better player and people should be scolded for thinking Roy is better is just ignorant. I know you didn't suggest that (I don't think) but the original poster that I was replying to did.
