I didnt say we couldnt beat the Saints. I said expecting a win after what we've seen from us (and from them) is far fetched. They've had a couple of close calls, but they are waxing most of the teams they play, good or bad. They are also forcing a ton of turnovers, something we've been prone to doing offensively over the years, and something we do with extreme rarity when we are on defense.

Not asking you to believe. Just telling you that I believe we are going to beat them.

Just a word concerning the time of possession. Several have said if we control the clock we win. I typically agree with this, and it is important, however on Monday night NE held the ball 33:16 to NO's 26:44. Just sayin'.
I want to believe we will beat the Saints, and I know it's possible, but for the first time I can remember in my 40 years of watching Cowboys football, I said this morning that I really don't see how we can beat this team. Unless something happens between now and then. Like, for example, a catastrophic injury to Brees. But what the heck? I also know that we can lose that game and still accomplish our goals.
Go Cowboys!!!:starspin

I even think the Saints are going to have trouble in Washington, especially with there secondary. I doubt they light them up, the only reason why they beat the Skins is because of poor QB play by Jason Campbell.

the Sb trophy isnt given out in november.

If awards were given in November, then Dallas would be there with New Orleans. I still think that Dallas can hang with what the Saints put on the field...as all three phases effect games. If Dallas doesn't give away drives with penalties or turnovers, then I think Dallas is every inch as capable as New Orleans to mount scoring drives.

A few things regarding our chances and New Orleans chances:

1. I think the Saints best shot at losing comes in the next two weeks. Call me crazy, but I could see a huge letdown against the Commanders this week. If they make it through that game, then a divisional game in Atlanta the following week is a prime time for them to lose. I pick those two games instead of the Dallas game because...

2. New Orleans typically plays much, much better in the Superdome than they do on the road. Both the Washington game (cold weather) and the Atlanta game are going to be on the road, and both will be sandwiched between big home games against two contenders (New England and Dallas).

3. The Saints haven't looked like last night's team in all of their games this year. Usually, the worse the opponent is, the worse the Saints play. They were damn lucky to beat Atlanta and Carolina earlier this season, and Miami should have beat them, period.

Finally, in an unrelated note, I will be perfectly fine with a Dallas loss at New Orleans. It seems like it almost always happens that the team that wins in the regular season ends up losing the playoff game, if those two teams meet again in January. Just like Tenn. beating Pitt last year in the regular season and then Pitt getting their revenge when it counted.

I would almost rather see the Saints win against Dallas in December because if we do make the playoffs... we will have to beat them then to advance to the Super Bowl.

And really... that is what we fans are wanting, after all.

Sorry, I stopped reading after the part where the Skins beat the Saints.
