He'll be okay. Just needs to get all the starstruckness out of his system. Once he does that and just settles down and plays football, he'll be alright.

But yeah, Marty....catch the ball. You had a horrendous drop in the flats a few weeks ago.

If we could get what we gave up for him, I wouldn't mind if we traded him. I doubt anyone would give up a high-mid 2nd for him though. He's too clueless to even get on the field, and when he is on he doesn't know where to line up.

Keith Brookings says he wants a spot in your sig.

The guy's still only 22 for crying out loud.

When he starts being a liability on the field, then it's a problem.

People think because he likes to crack jokes in the media, that he doesn't work his *** off on the field.

Did you guys not see the block he threw on Choice's long TD run? It was beautiful...

He may not be making an impact in the passing game so far, but he does a great job in the run game every week. The job that he, Witten, and Deon are doing are flying under the radar.

Some of you need to relax. Or get laid.
He probably wears his hat backwards too.

Marty is an immature clown.

That being said, he is only 22 and hopefully it clicks somewhere down the line for him.

The only thing worthless is your comment in this thread.

That "back-up" TE is essentially a starter. He's on the field all the damn time if you watch the games.

which should now be changed with austin's emergence. bennett has been a waste so far. the fact that he is on the field all the time doing nothing besides being a body is even worse.

Yeah because the tight end's only job is to go out and catch 10 passes every week right?

The two TE package isn't going away just because Austin had a breakout game. Hopefully it means less of Crayton.

Bennett been a waste huh? I'm guessing you're also on the "Get rid of Spencer, he has no sacks" bandwagon as well.

It was a joke, he's almost mocking himself because he has no catches this season. Lighten up.

Yeah because it doesn't play a big role in us being ranked #3 in rushing offense and #1 in Total Offense or anything.

LOL I LOVE IT!! MartyB is a beast and is so under- and mis-used in this offense.

Get used to it MartyB. As long as Romo is forced to throw passes to his bestfriend, you won't get to shine.

I bet Tony will think it's funny. I know I do, and I'm a Romo backer.

Awesome. We're turning on Marty B again now. When do we get to take some shots at Scandrick? I missed out on putting a toe in the water for some Ware-bashing earlier. Who else can we target after a gutsy win heading into a bye week? Felix Jones, maybe? That guy's always hurt. I also think Barber's wearing down and that Roy Williams is a bust. Crayton's got his foot out the door and Garrett's an idiot who's accidentally got his offense performing at a league-leading level. Anything else I missed?

As long as the best TE in football is healthy, MartyB will never get alot of catches or looks. When I watch Bennett block, he does an excellent job...and we saw him get open in preseason. Comes down to Romo being comfortable with a receiver...aka Austin Miles.

I don’t think Romo will find it funny or Witten. I think the team would like him to be more professional and more focused.

Wow. I thought that was funny. You guys know Marty B's personality. He wasn't coming at Romo negatively. It was a joke. You guys are seriously overblowing this. And from what i've heard from scouts Martellus has had a great season as a blocker and there's no wonder why the Cowboys are one of the best rushing teams in the league with him and Witten in the 2 tight end set. I think everyone expected him to be this big play threat like Witten is since TO's departure but he's making his impact like a TIGHT END should. In the blocking game. Everyone is too caught up into the catching tight end. A tight end's job is to block. We have a luxury in Witten but I don't get the criticism of Bennet.

Sounds like another player who feels he is entitled to something more just because he plays....whinney little brat who is not mature or professional. He acts like a little girl who wants all the attention.

He should focus on improving and getting better / open, maybe then his opportunities will increase...and catch the few thrown to him in the meantime.

Guys like Flo and Adams get on my freaking nerves, but I'm definitely surprised at some of the venom that is spewed at some of our own players sometimes. Goodness, the man made a joke and now he's garbage? I shutter thinking about the reaction people will have when he actually does something wrong...
