Aveon Cason and Ken-Yon Rambo.
I knew that but figured my post was already too long winded

Wilrey is smaller, slower, and less physical than Cason, but can play. I doubt he gets drafted, or if he does it will be 7th round area. He's wiry and has deceptive speed. Loves the game. I think that's under rated in some players. You can tell he loves to play. He's from Houston I think.jdnoyes;1993876 said:What can you tell us about this Fontenot kid Hos? He seems to be generating some pretty good buzz as the forgotten man across from Cason. The couple of games I was able to watch I pretty much followed Cason only.

He was a 4 year starter at CB along with Cason, and they liked to switch sides of the field at times to confuse QBs. So he's pretty smart. He's definitely Practice Squad material. Needs to get bigger, but he's stronger than you'd imagine. I think he did 18 reps of 225. Cason had the most of the CBs with 20, but he also outweighs Wilrey by about 15 pounds at least. I think Wilrey did run a faster 40, but he isn't faster than Antoine.
Arizona plays a lot of man coverage, but I think Wilrey is better suited to a cover 2 or cover 3 Zone where he can keep his man in front of him. Cason can play his man ahead or behind. Wilrey needs to be more locked on. He can play man coverage. Again, that's what Arizona favors.

Hostile;1993795 said:The strength of the Arizona Wildcats the last 3 years has been this kid on Defense. You run a risk every time you throw at him because he plays extremely tight and physical. He knocks away a lot of passes and he swipes his fair share. I think he will be better than Chris McAllister another Wildcat alum.
I hadn't read about his Pro Day. Thanks for the info.jdnoyes;1993889 said:Thanks. I saw that he ran a 4.34 at the Pro Day, and apparently it got the scouts attention, I betcha somebody takes a 7th round shot on him.
I actually think he'd move Henry to 3rd by the end of 2008.stasheroo;1993985 said:I think he's McAllister with character.
And I think you're looking at Anthony Henry's replacement in 2009.
I think they go WR.newlander;1994142 said:love this kid...always have. Will he be around at #22 though? I can see the foreskins taking him at #21......wouldn't that suck to high heaven?![]()
Completely overlooked in my man lust for Cason. I have not really paid attention to Bell and have only looked at 4th round or later ILBs since I figured CB, WR, and RB are the top needs.Chocolate Lab;1993362 said:Cowboys bringing Arizona CB in

With the draft on the horizon, the Cowboys have started the process of setting up pre-draft visits.
Arizona CB Antoine Cason and UNLV ILB Beau Bell are among those who have been invited to Valley Ranch, according to agent Ron Slavin. Cason will be in Dallas on April 16 and 17, and Bell will be in town around the same time, though a specific date has not been set up yet for him.
These are significant because each team is allowed just 30 in-house visits with prospects prior to the draft.
Cason's on-field performance hasn't been the big concern with him, as he won the Thorpe Award as a senior at Arizona. It's his speed that raised questions, and he answered some of those by clocking a 4.45 40 and a position-best 4.08 in the short shuttle at the combine.
Bell, meanwhile, is a potential second-rounder who played as a collegian in the Rebels' 3-4, which could have him fitting in nicely as a Cowboy.
The important thing to note about these visits is they are not workouts, and are not allowed to be workouts. Instead, they give the team a chance to interview the prospect and put him through a physical.
Teams are allowed to have two private visits with a prospect. Sometimes, those are a pair of private workouts, which are normally conducted on the player's campus. And other times, there's a private workout and in-house visit.

What can anyone tell me about him?

Only thing I remember when I saw him play(vs TCU) was he's a big time tackler, one of those guys who just has that pop when he hits people, had like 17 tackles in that game (sorta reminds me of Patrick Willis on impact). Good blitzer. He had four picks as well last year, but the knock on him is he may not be a 3 down LB due to a lack of speed. I think he was considered as a possible first round guy before he sprained his knee during senior bowl practice. Hasn't been able to run for scouts due to the knee so is sliding down the board. Has history of nagging injuries (knee, ankle, groin). One of those guys the Cowboys like to target, has first round talent but is sliding on draft boards for whatever reason.
With a 2nd round grade makes me wonder if Miami will take him at the top of the 2nd to replace Zach.Chocolate Lab;1994279 said:I'm only repeating what I've read, but he's big and physical and can really hit... The "thumper" type ILB Parcells used to talk about. Knock on him is that he's stiff (write up reminds me of Bradie a little) and has been hurt quite a bit.
Oops, don't know why I didn't see jd's post when I posted.
