DMN Blog: Cowboys bringing Arizona CB in (easy, Hos)

Cason looks pretty well built. I didn't know he was that wide.

Also, did that video have a clip of him going step-for-step with Jackson?

From the way he is built, he may not run the fastest 40 but you can bet he isn't losing any of that time when in pads.

I wouldn't mind him in the 1st round.

Worth noting they brought in Bell as well, an ILB on a team a lot of people keep saying doesn't have a need at LB.

Hey, not me...I've been saying this is not an area of strength for the team

I like Cason. You can't teach instinct and smarts. Some players just understand game situations and it's very undervalued. If it's 3rd and 10, ok to give up 9 yds but not the first down. 46 sec to half time with no time out means don't give up the side lines and deep balls......sounds very simple but often it's just not done.

We all get caught up on the players athletic ability. But...it's a team sport and a game so one needs to undertand what your teamates are doing and study the game. MAKE your opponents pay for their mistakes.

I still remember Dallas used to draft "super athletes" thinking they can outsmart other teams during the draft and end up with a player like Rod Hill CB who was a super bust. Goodrich is another one with athletic ability but zero instinct....the list goes on.

I would be very happy with Cason. He can almost start immediately or play well in our nickle package and improve our D.

That's exactly how I feel as well.

I think Cason would be a great fit for us - merging talent, need and value in Round 1.
