This is going to absolutely kill me until Jerry just comes out and says what the trade was. I HATE not knowing stuff like this.

one day jerry will say who the player was, or some person in cowboys organization leaks the info out;

Nah, We usually don't come out ahead like that on trades.
:laugh2:

There's no point in JJ even making such comments if he isn't going to go into details.

without even knowing what would have been got in return?

Even it was just another 2nd round pick, it would've been worth it. Guy is all hype. But given that it was supposedly a strong offer, I'm guessing it was multiple picks or a first.

My guess is it was Bennett or he made up the whole thing so Cowboy fans will think he is doing his job.

I'm calling bs until we get some confirmation.

The impact "now" player had to be an established pass rusher. Jerry states in another article that he did not make a move to get a pass rusher b/c he has high hopes for Butler, and that Spencer is what they envisioned him to be.

The young player, who is not a RB, could be anyone: Bennett, Scandrick, Spencer, Jenkins, McGhee, etc.

My guess would be Scandrick. Young, talented player at a position of scarcity. Plus his contract isn't big enough to prohibit a trade.

No one would trade a first for Bennett. If there truly was 1) a major deal for 2) a young player who is 3) not a RB, I think it would have to be for Ratliff.

Interesting tease here. I hate that kind of junk cause I'll go nuts wondering about it now and I honestly don't know why.

If it was Bennett... they should have pulled the trigger.

Because if anyone valued him enough to trade for him it would be higher value than he is providing us currently.

Galloway For Two Firsts Then Owens Comes In And Causes Problems With The Team...then Roy Williams For A 1st, 3rd And A 6th...jones Desire To Replace Michael Irvin Has Caused Severe Problems For Us...why Doesnt He Try And Get Michael Irvin The Way They Got Him In The 1st Place,,,,in The Draft! Dont Give Up A Stephen Alexander And Future Probowl Players For Has Beens And Problem Players!

Not so according to what thefan said today that something jason garrett said
garrett, we plan on getting Bennett involved more in december

why cant they do it now, instead of waiting for december when it might be to late to get bennett involved more

Worry about Dec in Dec. This team needs to worry about Oct.

The Cowboys wouldn't entertain a trade for Ratliff with no other viable nose tackle on the roster. So there's no way a team would call them with that.

I like the "when I traded for Roy Williams" part ...

Not "we traded," .... "I traded"

Just conjecture, but it sounds there were other opinions at VR.

Stephen, please stand up to Jerry next time ....
