You apparently cannot follow your own ridiculous viewpoint.

You found a small inaccuracy in one of Rich's breakdowns, and have opted to flex your e-peen about it.

You say you don't have a high opinion of bloggers. Yet you praise McMahon in this instance, who amazingly enough, is a blogger (who you allegedly do not have a high opinion of).

You also state that there are "tons of football illiterate journalists covering the NFL". You've crapped on everything, while elevating a blogger's evaluation, only to crap on bloggers again. I've read the thread. The more it goes along, the more infantile you come across.

I never once said ALL or made any balnket staements. In the same manner that there are relevant bloggers and writers, there are also "tons of football illiterate journalists covering the NFL" - only to say that just being in the industry doesn't qualify you to have a greater knaowledge than an average fan who may or may not blog. Quit reading into stuff thinking there's blanket statements. Now, go get your shinebox.

Anthony Spencer first NFL sack and a tackle for a loss. That's small you're right. I can't wait to read Rich's next offering. As they say, "...there's always room for improvement."

Cheers!

So what exactly is this grand point you seem to think you have?

That Rich is worse than McMahon?

Can we expect you to boorishly pore over every McMahon blog from here on out to pick out all the mistakes McMahon makes?

Maybe you could give us a list of "Doctor32 Approved Media Outlets", since bloggers (of which only some are legitimate, despite your admission that you don't have a high opinion of bloggers), and a great many journalists are football illiterate. That way we can move past your infantile nonsense and just acknowledge that for whatever reason, you have an unhealthy obsession with Cowboys bloggers who contribute far more to the Cowboys community than you ever will.

Hell, maybe that's why you're obsessed. Who knows?

You said you didn't believe me that I wasn't praising Tim's post simply because he's a Dallas journalist. I was using my appreciation of theebs' input, insight and time invested into his videos and posts, a Dallas Cowboy fan, as an example of why your disbelief was a bit unfounded.
Theebs is not a blogger that I'm aware of and that's kinda the whole theme of this thread. Respected poster, sure, but no real relevance in this thread.

That's like me saying I value all of Juke's sigs. I like them, but that point has no relevance in this thread, because the discussion is about fan blog appreciation or lack there of.

I'm not a McMahon fan, I don't dislike him either. His post today on Ellis was a means for comparison of a weak effort to grade out "Game Film."
Nothing more. Read into it all you want, but really, the aggressiveness wth which you come at me over this argument has to make one think, "Who's really the obsessed one?"
You can choose to read it and enjoy and I can choose to be critical. Your ball is at half court, lil' buddy.

Maybe you're a little sensitive to mod interaction.

Actually, amused would be more accurate. Kinda in the way, the kid in homeroom in HS used to get to sit next to the teacher, so he could mark the roll-sheet amused me.

BTW...

That's a horrible analogy. Someone's sig vs. someone's written opinion, published as a post OR a blog on a web site. Wow that's a stretch just for the sake of disagreement. I must have really pissed you off.

Cheers!

I'm really tired, and I am not trying to use it as an excuse, but I just stared at that damn gif for like two minutes...thinking/hoping it was somehow longer.

I think the biggest thing overlooked by the Ellis contract situation is that Ellis has probably been ready to go for the past 4 games (as was indicated by Wade in some of his PC's) and was only holding out to decide on what to do re:L his insurance policy. Couple that with the statement above and the fact that he has about 10mos of rehab under his belt makes me believe that Ellis is as close to 100% as he could possibly be.

When Ellis kept saying he just wasn't there yet I was of the mindset to write him off as a liability to the team once he came back. that has since changed to now believing that ellis will play a key role in this Defenses success. 1) his injury doesn't seem to be an issue, 2) he will be fresh down the stretch with having not played the first 4 games, the bye week, and only being a situational player, and 3) He seems to be motivated/reinvigorated to have a very productive year. This may be the best scenario that could have ever played out from his achilles injury. The only thing I think JJ should have done with Ellis' contract is to add more performance incentives to up Ellis' motivational level to its peak.

Expect big things from Ellis for the remainder of the year!!! Book-it!!

JJ shouldn't have to do anything to Ellis' contract to "up Ellis' motivational level to its peak". Ellis signed a binding contract to play football for the Dallas Cowboys for a certain amount of money each year. Having the awesome privalege to play football in the National Football League and getting huge sums of money to do so should be motivation enough for any player.

Don't get me wrong. I'm really glad to see #98 back on the field playing for the Star. He proved his worth whether he was getting sacks, or taking up the double team that would have been meant for Ware had Ellis not been in there. As has been said before, by playing Ellis at the LDE spot, it opens the LOLB spot up for Spencer, who really needs to keep playing to grow. It is going to be great to watch as this defense gets better & better at attacking QBs like a pack of wild dogs in a meat packing plant. Let's hope they get better quick enough to stand with NE.
