He was also showboating and practically jogging at the end.

I read a debate about this on another forum, and I've reasoned the number to 4.1 or 4.2 But if he ran on a track like Ohio State's he'd probably be a 3.8.

Yeah I didn't include any of the showboating stretch in my calculation. That number between 4.1 and 4.2 seems pretty accurate though, like I said I came up with 4.19 when taking into account reaction time. That's just stupid fast.

Well there's a big difference between having a 36" vertical (as normally measured) and being able to jump up onto something that's 3 feet high.

That was going to be my next argument on this. He didn't necessarily need a 36" vertical to jump out of a 36" pool because he lifted his legs up just like I do. By the way, My weight is a little over 165, maybe 170, haven't weighed in a while. And also, for those of you who call me a liar, you obviously don't know me. I think lying is morally wrong, which is frowned upon to talk about here, so I don't believe in lying. Though I think it's nice for a 290lb guy to jump outta the pool, I bet he doesn't have a 36" vertical. And it also goes to show how easy it is to do for any average size person that works out or plays sports very much, at least it should be. Furthermore, I didn't respond out of malice, only for conversation and observation purposes.

I've been swimming laps for over 20 years and I can do it quite readily if I haven't swam too many miles in the pool, so that's not a horrendously big feat.

prove it!!!! behind a keyboard you can say anything

I think I got lost. Who is 290 lbs? It is not Williams. He weighs much less than that. He was measured to have a 39" vertical leap at his pro day.

I agree with the consensus. It is evident that he is very athletic, but that is not the important issue. Can he play football at a high level? That is the important question.

Unless Williams is thinking about pairing up with Jarron Gilbert and going into synchronized swimming, I doubt the pool jumping trick is going to have any bearing on his athletic career.
