Go print a list of our draft picks from 1995 to 2002 and get back to me on it.

Parcells turned this franchise completely around after nearly a decade of HORRENDOUS drafting. JJ and Lacewell flushed entire draft years.

win a playoff game...that is all I hear from fans accross the NFL...especially here in DC...win a playoff game....he did not walk on water...look at where Jimmy started and where he ended up...I would expect us to passionate in defending him...but I am not passionate in defending a guy who did not win!

And I will be very curious to see how much leniency and compassion you guys will have for Wade if he does not win a playoff game this year. This is a bottom line business and even though we have a new head coach, a new d-coordinator, a first time new o-coordinator and a QB starting a full season for the first time in his career..but no one is going to care about all of that if we do not make the playoffs and win a playoff game. Just win!

As a coach he failed

a coach's job it to set a mind-set for the team, as well as coach wins, so overall I don't think you can say he failed as a coach, the coach's job is so innumerable that you can't just point to the win/loss record and make that the final judgement

Either way his tenure here is based on winning like all coaches that came before him, and in that department he was a failure.

We were a 5-11 team with no talent on roster.

He totally turned it around. Romo puts a hold down we win a playoff game and likely beat Bears.

This team is going to be winning playoff games. 6-1 and tops in NFC

How about we go after them and not let it come down to a last second FG?

Parcells played close to the vest no doubt. But he was working with a new QB. One he brought along the right way. I don't blame him for that and the Romo we have today is a product of that.

I'll take last years letdown in exchange for this years QB production any day of the week. If Phillips and Garrett aren't successful, what is your opinion then? just curious.

then they are a bust as well. I mean Sean Payton went to the NFC championship in year 1 with castoff players/coaches from Dallas. We are 6-1...there is not a team in the NFC that we cannot beat. Success to me would be the Dallas Cowbos making the playoffs AND winning a playoff game THIS year. Now if Romo, Ware, Newman, Witten and Owens are healthy all year, I might get a tad more greedy. But winning a playoff game should be considered a success. But let's not kid ourselves...the Bears were in the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman at QB. The Saints were in the NFC championship in Paytons first year as head coach. If those aforemtnioed core guys are healthy, I think we all should feel as if we can make it to the big dance.

Actually, I never realized that Jackson has only 316 more rushing yards than Jones since their careers started . . . . very interesting factoid.

Jackson played behind a star RB for his first two years while JJ was the starter in Dallas.

Sorry, there's no comparison here. I like JJ as a decent RB who was taken in the second round, but I'd trade a healthy jones for an injured Jackson right this second...JJ is not even remotely around his talent level.

If you believe Parcells was brought here to coach .500 ball, and make a few good draft pick then you can say he was a success.

If you believe he was here to take us to the playoffs and WIN then he was a failure.

As a Cowboys fan we know the goal is super bowl, not .500

Jackson spent only one year behind Faulk, who was pretty much banged up and washed up before Jackson was drafted in 2004.

And in Julius' first two seasons, he had only one more start than Jackson did in those seasons. Remember, Julius was hurt for parts of his first two seasons.

Bill was a great football guy. He could stop Jerry from being Jerrah. He just could not deal with today's players. Should sign him up as general manager.

5-11

5-11

what we had pre Parcells and we were a non factor in division and made playoffs twice in BP era. a first since what 1997?

He has put Phillips in a position to win in 2007. BP the Gm was solid, the coach was not perfect.

Sorry I dont get excited for mediocrity, 4 years and 0 playoff wins, He was as good come playoff time as Dave Campo both got us nowhere

Phillips has us in position to win. Parcells gets 0 credit for Phillips coaching

I disagree, we went to playoffs twice. Do you think the 2006 roster was an upgrade to the 2002 roster he inherited?

Wade is getting run from BP the GM. BP the coach fell short some but was dealt a bunch bad cards....

How many wins did he get? Wins are what matters not just getting there

Sure, why couldnt he get more than 9 wins or a playoff win with it?

The coach failed, any cards he got he dealt himself.

Wade is coaching this team and its 6-1, Thats Wades credit, unless you want to credit Campo for the 2002 team that won 10 games

I'm curious to know from the people who didn't think BP experiment was a failure, what they think about the job Joe Gibbs is doing in DC. At least he won a playoff game with less talent. And he is also handicapped by Danny boy's mistakes.

Personally, I think BP failed because he was brought in with an expectation to win a playoff game. He didn't achieve that.
