If anything Ware will get the "discount"

He's not the "give me the money" type of guy. He's not going to get lowballed by ANY stretch of the imagination, but all these people who think he is going to break the bank and set records with his contract, I just dont see it. He's not that type of guy.

He's like Romo. He will take less if it is for the better of the team.

Romo didn't take less, he just restructured to help the team out

Ware will break the bank, deservedly so, and if we get into dire straits, he will restructure too

I doubt Dallas has the picks or money to get him. It'd be nice though.

It'd also be nice to see the younger guys develop like Spencer and Marcus Dixon

Pipe dream.

But if Peppers could take a pay cut to help out the team then im all for it. But lets be real. He wants to get paid.

Everyone here knows, that I am a HUGE T.O. fan, but I would trade him and Carp, Henry, anything else that is not as valuable as T.O.. (T.O. the only value player I would put in this deal) to Get Peppers. or Haynesworth.

Love T.O., but he is at the end of his career, and Peppers and Haynesworth are at the middle.

I want to keep T.O., but I want Peppers too, if it can be done.

Peppers I watched him play on my beloved TarHeels Basketball Team for 4yrs. I knew we would not get him because we drafted Ellis and that other knucklehead DE, from UNC.

I know that unless we win the SB, this upcoming Season, T.O. will not be back for the 2010 season

It'd be fun, but clearly spending tons of money to increase our league-leading sack totals isn't exactly at the top of our priority list.

Local radio station around here today believes that Gross will be signed to a new deal before the deadline. Then they will tag Peppers.

They also believe that once this happens, the Panthers will get a 1st, 3rd, and more picks in return. What they seem to forget is that if Peppers doesn't want to play for the team with the best offer, he can simply say no to signing a contract with them. As I have said before, the Panthers are in a bad spot with this Peppers thing.

Yessir...the way I see it..If Jerry isn't going to pay a DC, he might as well pay for a probowl DE/OLB!

Cmon Jerry..just a little house warming gift for the new stadium..

If they throw enough money at Peppers he may resign with the Panthers. He may be one person I'd be tempted to go after but I don't see him as being the missing key for a SB championship for Dallas.

This team needs backup OL depth or better guys who will push for starting, an ILB, a big NT, a backup QB, and at least one safety. They could release Ellis for some of Pepper's salary, restructure more, and restructure Pepper's contract if traded. I don't see anyone but a SB team in dire need of a DE of his caliper trading for him.

If I'm the GM of the Panthers I'd hate to just lose him. Their LT will use this as leverage just as much as anyone else is. They're in a spot.

The Deadline to Franchise a player is Thursday at 4:00 PM Eastern.

If the Panthers do not have a deal with Gross before that time...Peppers will be an Unrestricted Free Agent.

Safety=Patrick Chung via draft round 3
NT=Ron Brace via draft round 2
ILB=Mckillop via draft round 4
O-line- Via draft

FA=Julius Peppers

11 picks this year will help replenish the roster

I doubt with Jerry's penchant for draft day manuvers that we'll sit on all 11 but this does need to be a good draft esp without the first rounder.

If we could afford all the other needs and Peppers then great. I'm a firm believer that your front seven is more important than your DBs in today's NFL.

I don't know if Chung will be there in the third. I don't know the others.
