DMN Blog: Nick Folk understands why the move was made

It doesnt, Im saying kickers are a dime a dozen and even highly drafted players like Crosby are not exempt from failure and replacement. Follow along.
That you can't even find one that lasts by spending draft picks shows how valuable they are when they do work out.

Logic fail.

Crosby was drafted AFTER Folk.

You have no idea what you're talking about, and its painfully obvious.

We have two roster spots dedicated to the position, because they are a dime a dozen? Uh....NO. We have two spots on our roster dedicated to kickers because we can't find one that will do it all.

yawn.

Or you can sign Adam Vinateiri as an undrafted free agent, but theo always knows best.

Or you can sign Adam Vinatieri as an unrestricted free agent for $2.5 million per year with $3.5 million signing bonus.

That's a lot of dimes.

This may be the easiest argument I've ever won on CowboysZone.

I have to agree. Its like arguing with a 4 year old. Its almost no fun.

And lets not forget we signed Vandernut for big money too, and he went mental on us.....BUT....they're a dime a dozen. Easily replaced you know.

Kickers are so important the Raiders drafted that *beast* Janikowski in the first round, how has that worked out? 78% for his career.

No, the team that won the Super Bowl the next year gave him that much money. The five time NFL Executive of the Year, Bill Polian, gave him that much money.

But what does he know? Obviously he doesn't know that kickers are a dime a dozen.

LOL @ putting someone on ignore just because they proved you wrong.

Cochese: "Kickers are a dime a dozen."

CowboysZone: LOL.

Cochese: "Oh yeah, well, look at all these kickers that are paid a lot of money and drafted with high picks! That proves they're worth a dime a dozen!"

CowboysZone: LOL.

So now you're justifying things by using what Al Davis does as an example??? LOL, thats a stretch.

Al is a nut. Nobody is going to take a kicker in the first round. Janikowski would have been there in the 4th.

That being said, Janikowski is a good kicker, with a hell of a leg. I'd like to see how many 45+ yarders he's made, and how many he's missed to see the stats then.

LOL. I actually started coughing uncontrollably, I was laughing so hard at this.

ask them if they'd do it again.

You are the one advocating drafting a kicker, dont get upset when I tell you who has been drafted and how bad they are.

Mike Nugent, 2nd round pick 15th overall, 78% kicker, dime a dozen.

mark Mosely, Drafted. NFL MVP in 1982. Let that sink in....NFL MVP !!!

Ray Guy. Punter. Drafted in the first round. Only punter to be in the Hall of Fame. HALL OF FAME..
