This just cements on how much I want this guy gone..Can you imagine his little school-yard whispering in the locker room?

GOODBYE!!!!! Mr. Sidbury welcome to the Dallas Cowboys.

I also want Ellis gone, but his words have validity.

That said, it wasn't TO's words or actions that got him cut (or caused any lockerroom distractions) IMO.

What got him cut was the MEDIA'S constantly making mountains out of molehills. That, in itself, is a distraction.

The media caused more trouble and distractions for the cowboys the last three years then anyone else, and they did it by hiding behind unjustified "TO stories".

It couldn't be the fact that he could not get off the line or get open right?

That have been doing it constantly with the Cowboys, prior to TO. They didn't do it as much during the mid-90s because the Cowboys were losing. If Jerry thinks they are going to stop now, please... He didn't draft Randy Moss because of perception and that came back to haunt him. He had to go out and draft Galloway, which cost us the draft. This time, he went out and got Roy Williams, as if it is assured he will be a suitable replacement to TO...

In all seriousness, I wonder if JJ/Wade are trying to engineer a trade with Ellis involved?

Whether it's Ellis and a pick for a player, or a player swap, or even a draft pick.

The problem goes back to can we pick up a situational pass-rusher in FA if we cut ties with Ellis?

'When I get my numbers, when I get the numbers, we win football games.' And that was true."

This is why I am glad TO is gone. Because he spouts this "all about me" over and over and over and then because of who he is other players buy into it. And then when he starts getting whiny they all chime in.

Its a team sport. Even Larry Fitzgerald, who this is more true than it is for TO, never spouts this crap.

We can win with defense. We can win running the ball. We can win with Special Teams guys stepping up and making plays.

Its not some zero sum game that the only way to win is throw the ball to Owens, but he gets people to beleive that.

Cowboys LB Greg Ellis was on SIRIUS NFL Radio today and addressed the release of his friend Terrell Owens.
<snip>

And, I mean, to me when I seen T.O. that day, that football game in Dallas, on our sideline, Patrick Crayton got the ball and T.O. comes out of nowhere and throws a block. That guy wants to play football. That guy cares and wants to win football games. When things aren't going his way and the ball isn't coming his way and all that kind of stuff, to me he was just saying, 'Man, I want to get more balls.' And I heard him say, 'When I get my numbers, when I get the numbers, we win football games.' And that was true."

Says the only guy on the planet who whines just as much as Terrell Owens about his role on the team.

Ellis needs to be the next ******* on his way out.

He's right about it not being just one guy.

It's the Pacmans, Tanks, T.O.'s and Greg Ellis' of the team.

Drop kick him too Jerry!!!

Does anyone still see anything in Ellis other then the potential cap space we'd get by cutting him?

You may as well line up half to team and tell them good bye as well, cause I promise you half the team loved him, they just won't say a thing to the media about it.

Clove, the problem with Ellis is that he is always whining.

He pouts in the off-season, he pouts during TC . . . .

Remember last TC when he wasn't getting as many reps as Spencer? He had a hissy fit. And that was TC for goodness sakes.

It's one thing to acknowledge that TO speaks the truth - he says what's on his mind.

It's another thing to acknowledge that when TO is doing that, it is really freaking annoying to everyone around him who has to deal with him doing a ton of finger pointing at everyone but himself.

The defense gets to deal with the TO that everyone is friends with.

The offense has to deal with the bad side of TO.

It's not surprising that the defense likes him.
