Players know....

We had players in the 90's that didnt get along....but players knew that to win you have to have talent. TO in most teammates eyes made the team better.

Its amazing the quotes we get that have players stating that the lockeroom wasnt divided or they didnt think it was much of a problem. The media disagrees ......and in the end so did Jerry....

Oh well......the circus isnt goin anywhere thats for sure....

Ellis doesn't know anything about winning.

while fans and media dont really like TO id say everybody who matters respect the guys word. nobody has ever said owens is a liar, IMO the guy has more credibility with players then garrett romo or witten.

outside of the game is he a liability, maybe. but the words im getting from the players they dont like the fact that he was released. do they have to move on, of course. but i get the feeling theyd rather have owens on the team then the coaches that are in dallas.

just the perception im getting from ellis ratliff, and newman.

Mr. Ellis please report to Mr. Jones office.....

The instant that it was reported that TO was cut, I called for Ellis and Barbie's head also.

Ellis is a crybaby.

Makes you wonder why none of TO's former coaches seem to be all that interested in signing him. TO been in the league a long time and been around a lot of coaches who are currently head coaches. Jim Mora Jr, Brad Childress, Steve Spanuolo, Tony Sparano, Todd Haley, Andy Reid all should know the "real TO". They also all have huge needs at WR ... yet they don't appear to be too eager to bring him in to their teams.

One thing Greg Ellis, Terrence Newman and Jay Ratliff have in common ... none of them have the responsibility of coaching TO (or even playing on the same unit as TO).

but theyre the guys who have to step on the field with him. and i respect their word over these lame coaches dallas has now anyways. its very telling when the majority of the team will side with its wr then its qb or coaches.

Funny how 3 player's opinions now = The majority of a 53 man roster.

Care to address my point on why none of TO's former coaches want him (when it's just a conspiracy by Garrett and Romo to make TO out to be a bad guy)? Or did you just want to continue to conveniently ignore that unfortunate factoid?

ware said the same things. he wanted owens on the team. all the wr's. james. the setiments on owens have been the same from everybody that was asked. seems like u cant accept that the team liked him. u think the players actually give a damn about what we think about them or the team? honestly?

was there players that didnt like him? of course. but im willing to bet alot more players respect and like him then romo witten or garrett. and thats just the way it is. if fans cant deal with it, the players dont care.

Its TO's entire schtick to turn the players against the management and coaching, its why he is universally hated by everyone who has ever coached him.

Sooooo ... still not addressing the fact that none of TOs former coaches want anything to do with him? That's okay, I know it takes a while to spin an answer off the top of your head. I'm patient.

What, exactly, do you expect teammates to say when asked directly about TO?

Do you honestly expect to see these guys throw him under the bus?

Quit being so thick.

This is the third team he is walking away from where a bunch of players (mostly defensive) saying "Hey, he's a great guy. He just wants to win. He was just telling the truth" while at the same time there is an entire coaching staff is thanking the good Lord he is gone.

See a pattern here?

3rd time? he didnt say anything about the niners when he left SF. his contract was up. he was mad at his agent because he screwed up and he was forced to go to philly. he wanted to play for the ravens. i dont see why people say he did this and that to SF. i guess its ignorance. he called garcia a homosexual in sf thats it. lol

philly hell even the fans sided with owens there. then hated him after he left. is that any suprise? hell no.

the coaching staff might be thanking somebody he's gone. but im willing to bet these players will be thanking somebody aswell when these coaches are gone.

Please- someone tell Greg Ellis his time is short as well, and to go ahead and pack now and perhaps save us from any further excruciating days of his tenure as a Dallas Cowboy.

not suprise ellis is spitting the truth

but of course the haters will bring in other things that have nothing to do with anything he said. like his reduce numbers or sacks last yr

like that has anything to do with the issue at hand.

bottom line it was yet another stupid move made by our front office

Ellis is right. I think he is being a realist here. Props to him.

I don't see us becoming better without after releasing a HOF receiver who is still a physical beast. I mean, how? Because our QB might smile more? Because "amazing" talents like Sam Hurd will get an opportunity now? It seems like we just took a "any change is good change" approach to this situation, and it could very well hurt us down the road.

We have a head coach who has not won anything, commands about as much respect as Miley Cyrus, admitted that he needs to change, and for some odd reason let a terrible DC run the show for half the season. We have an OC, who thought it'd be a brilliant idea to give our most explosive offense weapon a whopping zero carries in a pivotal division game, and who was basically called out by our QB after that dreadful performance in Philly. And we have that same QB who calls his long intercepts "punts" and still hasn't learned how to protect the ball.

Oh yes, we had some issues this year. But releasing TO isn't going to solve any of them. At least the ones on the field.
