We like the website ********. Read it almost every day.

But ******** posted a flyer promoting that Pacman Jones is going to attend this "make it rain" party. Timmy Mac. also reported this based on ********.

But like I've always told Timmy, do some reporting.

I called the owner for the nightclub, Nite Lite, where Pacman is supposed to attend and he told me Pacman isn't coming.

In fact, Doug Smith, the owner, said Pacman isn't supposed to come to the party and said he doesn't know how Pacman's picture got on the flyer.

"It's a mixup," Smith said. "Somebody made a mistake. I've gotten phone calls about this and it's not true. Pacman is not coming."

Besides said Smith, Nite Lite is a 35 and over club.

"What's Pacman's age?" asked Smith. "He's too young for this spot."

One simple phone call is all it takes to find out what's going on. If you think Smith isn't telling you the truth check out this tale from Terrell Owens.

T.O. sued a nightclub that used his likness last year promoting that he was going to attend a party. Owens told me he received numerous phone calls from people asking was he going to the party. He wasn't because he didn't know anything about it.

Thank you Calvin and dbair1967, yes Timmy needs to learn how to be a journalist if he ever wants to become one.

That's the whole point of the matter. It doesn't matter that the poster is real. The only question was if he would actually attend the party; obviously, he won't be. Hopefully, (fingers crossed) Catch will read this and stop shoving it in our faces.

Please, that spin is just as much B.S. as his lawyer denying he was going. Too many people called and confirmed that it was a Pacman party.

It's not the same as the T.O. thing, IMO. He really did sign up for that crappy party and got busted.

As for it being a 35+ party, does anyone think they'll deny a young multimillionaire's entrance into a spot just because he doesn't fit the age requirement? It's about making paper and I think Pacman still has some to spare.

but there seems to be a need to condem his decisions. even the ones he's not making. right?

Exactly, now we are caught in whose spin we are going to believe. Two camps have emerged, those who believe pacman planned to attend and those who don't....hehehehe

wg - i've tried to give the benefit of doubt cause i did some digging and came up pretty empty. but i did find a "gangsta newsgroup" where everyone was going to go to nite lite for open mic nite. i didn't see anything about an age group and from the talk i'd doubt many were much past 25 (posters i was reading).

as for a 35+ club - never heard of one before. all i've ever seen is 21+ or all ages.

now - the record company's ******* site has 5 friends. good promotions?

something just smells all around on this from too many sides. if pacman did say he'd be there then it's only a matter of time before he falls again.

that won't stop me from thinking a 6th/7th rounder is still a good risk. but it does SCREAM we still draft a CB high and there's no mcfadden in the future for us.

If Pacman were to sue, he'd be suing a company he owns.

if they can put his pic on there they can put his company there.

i do agree this isn't good for the pacman - i also hope calvin hill takes him out behind the woodshed and helps him realize who his daddy is.

Honestly, it's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. Hamlin was hosting a superbowl party in Houston, so I don't judge a guy because he's getting paid an appearance fee to show up for an hour at a party.

The timing of it coming out is what makes him look bad. Right in the middle of yelling "I've changed! For real!" You've signed up for a party. As for the promotion quality, this is probably one of those word of mouth parties. They passed those flyers out after another club or event finished for the night.

Well he could throw one of his "employees" under the bus.

In this crazy world of B.S., both sides on this matter have spun their crap... Regardless of whether Pacman intended to be at the club or not, the damage has been done. I don't understand how some people fall so easy to B.S. or how some people can't believe this was done by some of Pacman's enemies or competitors. Silly...

Sure thing now Calvin is lying. Its spin, whatever. People are just going to believe what they want to believe apparently.
