Yes, but this is a very entertaining piece of crap.el_chevo;2011925 said:I thought el hostil told us not to post crap from other forums?
They've been hired to make the flyers for promoting the new stadium. Jerry recognizes talent when he sees it.dcdallaschick;2011939 said:Because, you know, nothing says credibility and reliability like product from "Cheap *** Flyers."
Gold, Jerry--Gold.
Fuzzy, it's really not that big of a conspiracy to me.FuzzyLumpkins;2011928 said:Oh okay... Do you even know who made the flyer? Do you know that it was Pacman or his company? Because I don't know maybe just maybe what has happened before and someone used a football players name to try and pimp there party.
I know for example that Owens sued someone for using his name to promote a party.
Does Pacman own the club because as far as I can tell that is the only one who stands to benefit from this.
Good info dbair. Thanks. There is still hope for true research.dbair1967;2011848 said:Pacman is staying home

Calvin Watkins E-mail News tips
We like the website ********. Read it almost every day.
But ******** posted a flyer promoting that Pacman Jones is going to attend this "make it rain" party. Timmy Mac. also reported this based on ********.
But like I've always told Timmy, do some reporting.
I called the owner for the nightclub, Nite Lite, where Pacman is supposed to attend and he told me Pacman isn't coming.
In fact, Doug Smith, the owner, said Pacman isn't supposed to come to the party and said he doesn't know how Pacman's picture got on the flyer.
"It's a mixup," Smith said. "Somebody made a mistake. I've gotten phone calls about this and it's not true. Pacman is not coming."
Besides said Smith, Nite Lite is a 35 and over club.
"What's Pacman's age?" asked Smith. "He's too young for this spot."
One simple phone call is all it takes to find out what's going on. If you think Smith isn't telling you the truth check out this tale from Terrell Owens.
T.O. sued a nightclub that used his likness last year promoting that he was going to attend a party. Owens told me he received numerous phone calls from people asking was he going to the party. He wasn't because he didn't know anything about it.

There's a post in this thread about 103.3 calling the club about it and they confirmed it...and his lawyer intervened and said Pacman would not be attending. Lawyer doing his job.
I think I read in the other thread about someone else calling the number and they confirmed the party for Pacman.
theogt posted that the record company that's promoting it is owned by Pacman himself.
Owens lawsuit was born out in court. It was a legit case and he won. It's not the same thing w/Pacman.
I'm not judging him on the club issue. Doesn't bother me one bit. But the spin coming out about him really not coming and the club owner not knowing how he got on the flyer is stupid. I've gone to too many clubs, where I get handed those types of flyers as I walk out the door. It's one of the easier ways to promote your party. Get a pseudo graphic designer to make you something and get a bunch printed up to hand out.
I don't know how theogt got his info re: the record company, so I'll defer to him on that one.FuzzyLumpkins;2011955 said:National Street League doesn't show up on a google search other than an about.com article. Nationalstreetleaguerecords.com is not a valid url nor is nationalstreetleague.com. The Posterboyz ******* page where they released the single etc has nothing.
Anyone have a link to this content?

JMO, you can own a record company without having released a single. Especially if it was yet another crock of an idea somebody got you into, but you have no artists, no producers, no A & R reps or anything else.
Like I said, it's not that big of a deal, but I think the club owner is lying. It's funny how a bunch of people can call and confirm there's a party Pacman is supposed to attend. But a few hours later, DMN talks w/the club owner and all of a sudden he was never supposed to attend.

FuzzyLumpkins;2011967 said:Granted but there are two possibilities here. One that is completely plausible is that the club completely made the whole thing up from the beginning and only recanted once he realized that the powers that be were looking into it.
FuzzyLumpkins;2011967 said:Id be curious to know whether or not Calvin called and indicated that he was from DMN.

If he didn't, I'd be surprised.FuzzyLumpkins;2011967 said:Posterboyz do have a single and they are the only act on the label. FWIW I listened to it and its garbage from a BOSS 808 and crappy flow but I digress

All that's likely. I just don't think that's the case in this instance.Bleu Star;2011969 said:Honestly WG I don't think it's a funny thing at all. In my years of existence I have frequented many a club.. some very down home like this one... Club owners will do anything to drum up business. If calls are coming in from your average joe/thug/groupie wanting to know if "OMGREALLYWOWSQUIRT pacman is going to be in the house on Saturday night???" the money grubbing club owner will do what it take to get those numbers up. However, when someone calls and identifies themselves as the actual media/law/local civil right chapter/etc... that same club owner will straighten up the stance and feed the real gospel. Doesn't surprise me at all...
are you trying to convince me pacman's image isnt tarnished by his past decisions?iceberg;2011874 said:but there seems to be a need to condem his decisions. even the ones he's not making. right?
iceberg;2011975 said:as for clubs and flyers - i've seen too many bands print whatever they wanted on them and hang them in clubs. the only rule i know of for a fact is do not promote club a with flyers about it in club b. you get kicked out pretty quick.
Yeah it would be definitely stupid to do without some of protection, but I wouldn't be surprised. Adam Jones is a football player, not a music executive.iceberg;2011975 said:wg - i realize this is redundant to some but pacman would have to be stupid as hell to run/own/front a record company w/o LLC'ing it. i know - i have 2 i need to clean up this tax season. thank god for hnr block.
if he's representing himself as a business or label there are legal implications in that for many things. so he'd better have a contract to show and unless he just wants to lose all his personal assets, he'd better incorporate.
if he incorporated it could also be under another name - quite possible as well.
Yeah I know anything is possible with the flyers, because there are no hard and fast rules about it.as for clubs and flyers - i've seen too many bands print whatever they wanted on them and hang them in clubs. the only rule i know of for a fact is do not promote club a with flyers about it in club b. you get kicked out pretty quick.
