People that wanted TO gone don't understand that the media-storm will continue around Dallas without him. This has never been something exclusive to TO. Dallas is the NFLs most loved and hated team and the media follows the interest of the people.

I really don't think this got a lot of attention because he wasn't bashing Romo or anything. All he did was point out that the media tries to use his relationship with her as a way to take away how well he has played for the Cowboys.

And it's especially hypocritical because it's injuries that have been the cause of Newman's limitations year in and year out. I mean, Romo also had a father who suffered through cancer; hey Newman is that personal relationship limiting Romo also as a QB? .

And while we're at it Newman, why not spend your time a bit more productively, like trying to figure out a way to increase your interceptions-total, because you've never lived up to your contract in that regard. The article reference and yours are like night and day. The article noted a similar comment/observation by Owens. Your comment is to slam those who wanted Owens gone by saying they thought crazy media attention only came with Owens and too bad for them, even though Owens is gone, the media will remain.

How many guys need to be cut before these morons get the picture? You'd think TO getting the axe and the news on Greg Ellis would be a jolt to some of these clowns.

Newman continues to do what he's criticized others for doing. He's too stupid to shut up, at a time when it appears they're trying to finally clean the lockerroom up.

Perhaps Romo should come out and say that the key to the defense in 2009 is Newman not get some ticky-tack injury that hampers him all season.

His overpaid, declining rear is only saved by his contract. In 2 seasons when he's 33 and his cap hit is negligible or at least palatable, he'll be gone.

He's quickly replacing Greg Ellis as my least favorite Cowboy.

The media is going to continue to try and tear the Cowboys down, even without Team Obliterator on the team. We all know this.

The Cowboys just need to stop giving the media these little soundbites for it all to stop. Talk about practice, the game, your upcoming opponent. Leave the personal stuff out.

Honestly, I'm not even sure what Newman is trying to say, and I've read that three times.

Is he saying that Tony isn't as good now because his girlfriend is taking away his focus? Or is he saying that Romo's girlfriend makes Tony look more like a celebrity and not like the good QB he is?

In either case, Newman probably just needs to shut his mouth. It's not a clear quote, and I can't imagine a lot of good things coming from saying it in the first place.
