Listen here Socrates, based on your comment, you sure aren't the brightest bulb in Vegas.
How do you know so much? Please explain to us what Roy's coverage responsibilities were on all the TD passes i've seen him near.
Word gets around the NFL, the talking heads pick up on it. They usually make safe assessments so they don't look foolish themselves.
Don't give me some foolish conspiracy theory that everyone is out to get Roy. If anything, they are out to get T.O., but he shuts them up with his play on the field. I want to see the same from Roy.
I hope he bring a cot into the film room and lives there for a while, trying to prove his naysayers wrong. Running from the media and not facing the music, makes him look weak.
You must be a little slow. I have clearly said that I don't know the calls or coverage responsibilities. And neither do you. And neither does the media. That was the basis for a lot of my complaints. But hey, whatever...
I thought Roy looked bad last night. He seemed confused, tentative, and a step slow. Unfortunately, so did just about everybody else in the secondary. So why is he the guy to get ripped? That's what I mean about perspective...
As for your "conspiracy theory", I simply believe that Roy doesn't have a whole lot of fans in the media. I think a lot of your ignorant local writers, who also don't know the coverages and responsibilities, blame Roy. I believe that others pick up on that - national media and fans who blindly believe the supposed "experts". I also believe that Roy absolutely hates it, but since he can't do anything about it, he just doesn't say anything.
Fans say, "do your talking on the field", but when he does and takes those trips to the Pro Bowl, it's ignored and disregarded. Folks act like Roy Williams doesn't do anything good on the field, but he keeps making big plays every single year. Take a look at the numbers. But again, whatever...don't let those things get in the way of an agenda.
I have never professed to be an expert, by the way. I just wish others who weren't experts would try to use what little good sense they have.
