I think they should veiw him as a legit trade up target. If he gets near 20, move on ot
i wouldn't hate a trade up for him. wouldn't give up our 2nd round pick as part of trade for him though. We don't have the best track record trading up for players lately.

Nailed the Quincy trade up back in the day though.

If were moving to 18ish, a 3rd should do it

Man, that Tabor quote, lmao.

Imagine you using that on your wife if you were cheating on her as an excuse. I'm sure it would go over well.

Really happy with the round one depth in this draft. I would consider bundling 2 and 3 to move up for the right prospect.

The only player I'd be interested in moving up big for (10-12 spots) would be Barnett. Otherwise, I think we get a good player at #28.
Yea I'm not the biggest fan of moving up. Just taking who falls in our lap seems to be working great.

Liked for the Tabor comment not the packaging of picks to get another 1st.

We need big, mean, nasty pass rushers. That's why Ryan Anderson of Alabama is my man. I found out recently that his own teammates don't go near him on game day, because he is so intense. He gives them "the Look" if he sees them yucking it up on the sideline. He truly hates his opponents, & wants to destroy them. I just love a QB crusher with a King Kong chip on his shoulder. Reminds me of big ole 94. He loves football too much to sit around smoking blunts & endangering the chance to go out & do damage to someone. God knows we could use some guys like that around here, after failed attempts on fools like Lawrence & Gregory.

I agree but would add Anderson, WR Corey Davis, and possibly the CB from Washington. Talking small trades up not huge.

I'm not getting the Ryan Anderson love. Sending more Bama boosting with him. I see a lot of coverage sacks with him. I doubt he's a first rounder. He'd be great on a 3-4 team imo

Unless a talent like Dez (top 10) drops to 20 I wouldn't trade picks to move up. We have too many needs to lose picks. Also as noted already we don't have a good track records when we trade up.

Let the draft fall to us. We have major need at DB, DE.....lesser at WR, OT

I dont disagree and in most cases I would completely agree. However, I feel whats left for this franchise to aquire in terms of building blocks is a stalwart RDE. One we can rely on to bring pressure for a decade. If that guy gets out of the top 20, moving up to aquire them is a legitimate option IMO

As much as I agree that we need to acquire pass rush I have to disagree about trading up unless the value is so compelling. Our history has shown us that desperate moves like that seldom results in success (Ekuban comes immediately to my mind). Teams like Pitt, NE, Ravens do not "reach". They let the draft come to them and select the best player that suits their need. We need to model after that. That's how a team is built to last via the draft.
