As much as I agree that we need to acquire pass rush I have to disagree about trading up unless the value is so compelling. Our history has shown us that desperate moves like that seldom results in success (Ekuban comes immediately to my mind). Teams like Pitt, NE, Ravens do not "reach". They let the draft come to them and select the best player that suits their need. We need to model after that. That's how a team is built to last via the draft.
You dont do it out of desperation, you do it because you have a particular player want, or a player falls to a spot you feel compelled to make a move. I think you trade up of a Dez Bryant like opportunity is there. I very much against trading up just because you need a DE. You trade up if you have a guy like Takk graded in the top 15, and he falls to 20

If Raequon out of Ohio State is still on the board I'd be happy to see him get picked up. He'd be a nice upgrade in the LB corp to pair along side Lee and if Jaylon Smith recovers by next season that would be a serious trio in the front 7.

All that said I still think we go CB/DE with that pick. We need depth/upgrades all over the defense.

At #28 I have Rasul Douglas CB West Virginia coming to Dallas. Others who should be there Daeshon Hall DE Texas A&M, TreDavious White CB LSU, Damontae Kazee CB San Diego State,Raekwon McMillen ILB Ohio State, Taco Charlton DE Michigan, Jordan Leggett TE Clemson,Cordrea Tankersly CB Clemson

Not a huge fan of Tankersly personally. Saw him get torched plenty this past season against high end receivers and way too many PI calls because he mauls them after getting beat.

Daeshon Hall is nasty but part of that was playing opposite of Garrett imo. I'm not sure he can be as dominate without someone else to scheme around.

McMillen I'd love to pick up because I think he'd give the LB group another playmaker to pair with Lee.

There was one game in particular during the regular season but I don't recall against who. Either Louisville or FSU where he got beat consistently and had to make up for it by fouling the WR. Several ugly, blantant PI calls went his way.

Ok. I'll check it out because from what I saw from him this year he's going to be a player in the league.

Nothing else to do. The team you saw on Sunday will by and large be the team you see in September with the addition of another draft class. They're not going to go out and spend big in free agency.
Yap I wish some could accept this but they wont. Not saying new blood wouldn't help jsut that the new financial plan isn't going big dollar FA.
A middle FA yes.
