It’s been a busy offseason for Johnson away from football as well. In March, Johnson was shot in the shoulder in a drive-by shooting in which the driver of the car Johnson was riding in was killed.
I knew there was a perfectly reasonable explanation why the DA couldn't locate Nicole Holder...

Our staff is being far too stubborn about this.

I feel like this is something, even if it's not working out during the season, they won't admit was wrong until after the season is over. I don't know what kind of point they are trying to prove here, that the offensive line is great? Yeah, we get it, you hit on 3 offensive lineman in the first round; that's great, we all thank you for it. Get a real RB in here.

You needn't be so dogmatic about all this. I suggest that Garrett & Gary Brown (RB coach) know a lot more about these RB's than
you and gave Jerry & Stephen the okay not to chase a RB in the draft. I do know that they gave Ryan Williams additional money
to keep him on the roster at the end of the season and Garrett really wanted him in the draft in lieu of DeMarco. I think they feel
with DMC & Randle they have a feel that they are good to go at least into training camp in July. If things don't work out Will
McClay will obviously have a list of alternatives that can brought in rather cheaply. Just be patient and all will be made known, though
we may not have a sense of things until we get into the pre-season games.

Our staff in the past knew a lot about Julius Jones, Marion Barber, and Felix Jones as well before getting Murray.

You can't just throw out "The RB coach knows more than you do!" - I didn't like any of the three RBs before Murray, where are the three now? Coaches get things wrong, and in the NFL, they are wrong often. It's sometimes the fans screaming the right thing before the coaching staff.

I can tell you right now, the fanbase was screaming for an offensive line change LONG before Jerry and Stephen Jones put an emphasis on it. There have been players throughout the years that our coaching staff has clung to with no good reason before realizing they are ****.

Maybe Randle and McFadden are good RBs, what I want is some damn competition in camp. When you have as big a question mark as this at RB, the best thing to do is to bring in some bodies, kick some tires on some veteran RBs/disappointments, and let it be sorted out during camp.

I certainly can because they are the professional coaches managing the players and Jerry/Stephen are the owners who make decisions
good or bad. Every team makes some bad decisions on players and the Cowboys aren't immune. You can stand on a soapbox and holler
for the next 3 months that all these RB's suck and it won't change one thing until the decision makers come to a final decision on the RB's they have
training camp. Stephen has said that they are not bringing anyone else in for the present cause they want to maintain the 3 supplemental
picks they are likely to get next year. IMVHO, you are not going to see any major changes until the pre-season.

Cool. But this is the offseason, so this will be the discussion you get from people whether you like it or not. I'd rather talk about this for 3 months than some stupid tweet that Hardy makes.

I talk about things that will actually impact us on the football field. Welcome to the weeks before training camp, it's fun.

"“I’d fit good in Dallas,” Johnson said when asked if the Cowboys were a good option. “They need it. Yeah. That’s what we’re trying to do.”

“Cowboys, come holler at me,” Johnson said.
Johnson was accompanied by former Titans teammate and Texas Longhorns quarterback Vince Young. The national champion QB was asked if Johnson would be a good fit with the defending NFC East champs.
“He’ll fit well,” Young said. “They gonna love CJ out there.”"

These quotes are curious to me because CJ says, "That's what we're trying to do." Sounds like he and his agent have reached out to the Cowboys. Then VY says "he WILL fit well" and "They're GONNA love him down there." That sounds to me like they may be working on something already. Interesting...

The mantra echoes... for the right price, bring him in and take a look. 5 RBs for the price of 1 DeMarco. Surely we can get 1800 yds combined out of 4 of those cats.

Chris Johnson will most likely be available week 3 into the season when teams can scoop him up for no guaranteed money.

While I think we do have a RB that will be productive on the roster I agree about being able to question coaches.

Some of these coaches are morons.

We just watched a Superbowl Offensive Coordinator throw a pass on the 1 yard line that cost his team a championship.

These guys are human and there are fans out there that do have an eye for talent as well.

Bring him in, while he isn't the guy who ran for 2,000 yards anymore, he has gotten over 1,000 in 6 out of 7 seasons, and played a part in the Jets #3 run attack last season (the first time he didn't get 1,000 yards). If nothing else he might be an upgrade over Run DMC that we don't have to trade for.

Loved CJ coming into the league in 2008 and was disgusted that we passed on him.
But this is 2015 and he is a bit of a knucklehead. Maybe not as much as Randle, but still...

lol @ charge of open carrying in a vehicle. if they had to search his car before finding it, then it wasnt in the open and was legal.

probably why the charge was dropped

fact that CJ is constantly getting into run ins is reason enough. I'm sure CJ could spend his entire live blaming others for problems he runs into. I seriously doubt anything has ever been his fault. He puts himself in position for crap to happen. Guy is 29 years old and still acting like a thug, talk about brain dead

I'm concerned about the shooting and a lifestyle that requires packing. He is not a common CCL carrier.
