This is so true, we were 4-8 no need for free agents, no need for a qb
or new coaches, all is well here.We are going nowhere my friends. We sold the most tickets int he NFL why throw money away on players.

I was never a big fan of the big payday. It's never worked for us in FA. I'd rather have 5 solid players than 1 single super star. 5 Sherman's will always take out 1 Tiger.

But in the same regard, find our superstars in the draft.

Well clearly the Cowboys wanted a TB as they pursued Miller and reached out about Murray.

The deal Miller signed was very reasonable with only $14MM in guaranteed money to a 25 year old TB. Even less guaranteed money they were willing to give a 27 year old Murray a year ago.

Mario Williams signed a very reasonable contract. $8MM this year and then the Dolphins can walk from him in year 2 with a $2MM or less cap hit, which in today's cap world is really nothing. I am sure you are going to argue that's not a good contract but if you look around at what pass rushing ends are getting paid, it is. Shoot, Clayborn got nearly $5MM a year and he's likely half the DE Williams is.

Miller's contract may not have been the biggest, but at the cost and given the team's success running the football last season (without the presence of passing game) it certainly was not a big area of need.

Mario quit on his teammates. I'm sure that turned of several teams. The Cowboys may not have wanted him due to that.

If it wasn't viewed as big need area, why did in the last 48-72 hours did the Cowboys call the Eagles about Murray and then make a run at Miller?

I do give you credit though for having excuses ready at every turn for things the Cowboys do that are questionable.

Those "facts" about the Cowboys calling the Eagles is pure conjecture... Internet "gossip".

No one stated they do not want additional running back support, but they probably are not interested in paying "top-buck" for it.
