Except most of the names thrown about that the Cowboys should have looked at like Miller and Williams don't really approach the level of players Gosselin is talking about.

How much revenue in ticket sales and jerseys is a big signing going to generate for the smaller markets like Buffalo and Jacksonville?

This is so true, we were 4-8 no need for free agents, no need for a qb
or new coaches, all is well here.We are going nowhere my friends. We sold the most tickets int he NFL why throw money away on players.

4-8 huh? Yeah, we were 4-8 at one point in the season, that's true. 4-12 clown show to finish the season.

So now Goose knows what he is talking about?

Lol at the way you guys conveniently change your tune

Kinda like half this forum did from last offseason to this one. Optimists to pessimists. Pretty sure most of the whiners here were part of the Adrian Peterson fandom last year.

LOL

Cowboys may have "looked at" Miller and Williams. That's not what you're whining about, you're whining they weren't signed. You had your pet cat free agents, and now you're taking a temper tantrum.

There are no "rules" to free agency and even if there was, this front office has changed philosophies so many times they would have no idea which side of the rule they are on.

There is only improving your roster and not improving your roster.

Really? For many years, Jerry Jones was into signing the big names to get a Super Bowl. It just recently changed to stay away from big name FA and work on building through the draft. So,when else did this philosophy change?

If Jerry jones did what the Giants did today the narrative would be to que up the "Jerry is on the Johnny again" or "back to old ways" "Janoris Jenkins had 1 more INT than Jeff Heath" yada yada but Reese does it and 5 hours into free agency the Giants are SB51 winners. o_O Can't have it both ways.

No one should be upset we weren't able to pay a guy who had one double digit sack season J.J. Watt-like money. No one should be upset we didn't sign a feast or famine CB to Revis-like money. No one should be upset we passed on a 31 year old DE coming off a terrible season and an RB who BARELY topped 1,000 yards in one season.

Miller is about the only player out of that group I believe could have helped this team, but even then, he's hardly a proven stud. So, all this fuss over what, a 31 year old DE and a middle of the road (production wise) RB?

Give me a break. Go sleep off the rage.

Don't sign troubled players.
Sign troubled players and nurture them.
Man corners.
Zone coverage.
Draft BPA.
Not if it's a defensive tackle.
Go get Brandon Carr in the opening moments in free agency.
Sit back and watch other teams foolishly spend.
Don't spend a 1st round pick on o linemen for two decades.
Spend 3 1st round picks on o linemen in 4 years.
Trade down in thin drafts.
Trade up in deep drafts.

All teams build through the draft by the way. Why do Cowboy fans think it's some sort of unique philosophy.

Same philosophy got us to 12-4 year before...Lots of folks on here keep forgetting we lost two of our biggest weapons to injury. We could have had a better season with them out I admitt. We all know this team has better then 4-12 talent. If you want to look at that way then our offseason has been great. Compared to 2015 starters we upgraded qb with a pro bowl veteran qb (romo) and a Top5 WR who's in his prime. I'm happy with day one. Stay the course for long run

When has "don't sign troubled players" been our philosophy? Because Garret spouted some vague RKG crap 5 years ago? Man/zone? What are you on about? This isn't relevant to how we address high priced FA. Draft BPA? Have any quotes this has changed up throughout the years? Again, the offensive line came when we changed our FA philosophy. The only big FA we have signed since then is Brandon Carr. "Trading down in thin drafts trading up in drafts" - Again, what does this have to do with free agency?

And no one most teams don't draft players, the difference is some teams try to find their key pieces in the draft while others look for them in FA. What big name, outside of Peppers, has the Packers signed? They "build through the draft".
