Well, I know that. Lol. I just didn't know if there was chart or something that dictated how much a team had to give up.

Haha no. just think washington giving up 3 firsts to st louis in exchange for nothing. Or the chargers givng up 2 firsts and some players to move up to get nothing at that exact same spot in the draft. If you want to do something crazy like that, you can negotiate it.

Edit: i think each of those trades also included a second rounder as well.

That isn't the reason for trading down. It's called working the draft. Accumulation of talent.

This is just my opinion, but it would be a shame to suck as bad as this team has this year, finally have an amazing draft spot, and then not draft one of the best prospects with it.

It kind of depends. If you can get a true game changer thats one thing, but on the other hand if you can get an extra top 50 guy, you have to consider it.

Completely depends how far down we'd have to go. If we're still in the top 10, maybe. If not, heck no (barring some insane trade).

The one thing about the FO of late is that they are taking REALLY good players with their first pick for the most part (Dez, TSmith, Fred, Martin)...only Mo hasn't been pro-bowl caliber (and he started showing signs this season of being good)...but, we will see with picking top 10...

I am of the ilk that I want a difference-maker, but RB early in the draft isn't it for me...I would certainly LOVE a LB pick early if it is Jaylon Smith from ND...a stud DT would be fine as well...a trade-down is always lovely if you get value, and if they traded into the teens to pick up a 2nd and a next year's first (for example) and THEN grabbed a WR to pair with Dez, I would be really happy about that

Yes but he's excellent at stopping the run . He could come at a reasonable price and randy Gregory would be the 3rd down rusher. Im not sold on Gregory playing 1st and second down yet. Those sack numbers you showed look pretty darn good to me.

Gregory isnt ready yet, he needs 1-2 more years to improve skillwise and add weight. Vernons sack totals are horrid. Jack crawford our rotation de is about the same and we think hes borderline JAG

Just get a great player and I'll be happy. DB, QB, WR, LB.. So many good options where Dallas will be picking.

But a lot of times players drop based only on their position. Martin and Frederick were clearly worth higher draft spots. RBs and LBs drop all the time, if we got a LB at 10 that was worth the #5 pick I would love to see us pick up an extra 2nd round pick in the process.
