anyone asking why Marino is in the HOF should be banned from ever talking about football again.

Well anybody that saids you should only make the hall of Fame because of championships should be banned.

Those were all sarcastic remarks to those folks

You really can't use the if he played on this other team he would of won Super Bowls. Would Archie Manning would of won Super Bowls if he played with the Steelers? Or Emmitt Smith would of Sucked if he played for the Saints? Who knows.. Dallas had two really good teams in Romo's tenure 2007 and 2014 and for whatever reason they didn't get it done..
Both 07 and 14 came with a WR dropping the ball out giving up on route and RB fumbling

If we'd won both of those games, it would have marked the only two times in in the playoffs since (at least) 1960 that a defense allowed over a 125 passer rating and won.

Looks like Romo is the only QB on there with a rating over 125 in a playoff game that lost. Why does it always feel like hes always associated with weird stats like that?

Mostly due to his team's poor defensive play. Three of the games on that list were Dallas losses with Romo at QB.

Forget hall of fame for now let him try to get a snap off before the clock hits 1 every single snap....Romo's good but not hall of fame worthy.

Defenses weren't good at all but was saying we had chances to win against giants and GB in those years

I do think Gosselin has morphed into a bit of a troll.
Predictable yrDh from him lately

But I this case, I DO AGREE that if Romo'scareer ended today he would have a chance of making the HOF.

I personally think Romo would trade the HOF for a super bowl ring. IMO Romo will need two rings to be considered. So much of the HOF is about perception and he has a lot of perception to overcome, regardless of its validity.

The more interesting discussion in my mind is whether Eli makes it into the HOF. He shouldn't IMO, but would he be the only two-time winning QB to not be in the HOF?

Agree with your Romo assessment for HOF induction. It is what it is. What has kept this perception alive is the fact that Romo was a FA with no great pedigree, rightfully or wrongfully, he has had to climb a steeper mountain than say Eli Manning. Just look no further than Kurt Warner, also a FA with no pedigree and has WON 1 SB but 3 NFC championships, great stats and still not in the HOF. Romo has no championships other than division.

Eli was top pick of the 2004 draft and by the large media market team in NY and the fact he has helped bring them 2 SB trophies is only gravy. And both of those victories against the mighty Pats, once ruining a perfect season. Also the Manning name, kept his nose clean--no pun intended, and a media darling will ensure his place in the HOF. Perception is reality. Don't agree with it, but it is what it is.

BTW, anyone else notice that likely first ballot HOFer Peyton has never brought legal charges of defamation, slander and libel against Al Jezeera for their reporting of HGH use? Makes one go hmmmmmmm........ The NFL is still looking into this I believe. It could have some effect on voters 5 years from now on this outcome.
