Both 07 and 14 came with a WR dropping the ball out giving up on route and RB fumbling

About the 2014 game -Don't forget that botched play at the end of the first half where tony changed the 3rd and 1 from run to pass then is jawing at the wr while the ball is snapped and he was darn lucky just to get the ball and chuck it away. Missed the FG, then GB gets the ball, Rodgers completes a pass and they get a FG. That's a six point swing and they lost by 5 points.

Why change that play - even if they don't get the 1 yard (which I cant see why they wouldn't) it takes time off the clock and GB cant get a chance to score. Its bad situational awareness.

It always seems like Romo's offense is humming along and then bam - something comes undone, something that just looks like sloppy play by him and/or other teammates.

I think he's a great passer but not a good field general or game manager. I don't think he's great at getting everyone all together and in sync from the huddle to the snap - there seems to be confusion several times a game when he is back there - you rarely see that as often with other QB's. The fact that he is a great passer compensates for the mishaps to some degree so the team often overcomes the offensive blunders.

But like a double edged sword, in a close game where he plays really well - one or two mishaps can cost you the game. I would just like to see the offense play like a unit more when he is in there and would like to see him a little more adverse to taking risks.

I don't blame him, how many times has he had to line up recievers or RBs cause they are in the wrong place or don't know the play. My point is many of those playoff games was within 7 points and 1 play wins it instead of losing. Everybody is to blame

Excellent post. Sadly, many won't be able to comprehend everything you said because they can't be objective. They let emotional bias get in the way.

This article was freaking spot on. It will hurt some feelings but it's the truth. Romo will be in the Cowboy's ring of honor but that is as far as he goes.

Its not so much about Super Bowls with Romo. They will let you in if you dont have them if you were good enough. What will keep Romo from being considered is that he only has two playoff wins. He needs a few deep playoff runs to realistically get into the convo.

Exactly. You have to at least lead your team deep into the playoffs/super bowl and do something special. 2 playoff wins your whole career isn't going to get you remotely close to the hall of fame. I have always felt Romo is a good to great regular season QB but not very special come playoff time.
