Preseason games? No - bad comparison. Am I saying Romo should play the entire game? No. He should play a few series, then sit.

We shouldn't be "scared" to play him though. That's a bad message to send to our team - and our future opponents.

It's not scared, it's smart. I'd rather be smart than stupid.

How is it a bad comparison to a preseason game? The outcome is just as irrelevant.

How sharp where they with 10 days rest leading up to the eagles game?

How sharp were they against the Giants with 2 weeks of rest? We were down 21-10 at halftime. Sure, we came back and won, but it's not we looked sharp coming out of the gate. Rest can be a great thing, but this team doesn't have the best of records following bye weeks.

Actually, not it isn't. Romo and our line have been TERRIBLE at reading the Commanders defense. We lost the big 2012 to the Commanders due to heavy pressure from the Commanders. Romo was injured last year against the Commanders due to heavy pressure and our line breaking down. We lost against them earlier in the year due to us having a hard time stopping their blitzes.

Do you really believe it's suddenly going to change now? WE DON'T PLAY WELL AGAINST THE SKINS! We have no clue how to pick up their blitzes, we have proven this time and time again. They gameplan wonderfully for us on defense.

You guys are ridiculous. You rest your key players in a meaningless game, especially when key players are freakin' injured. I don't understand why you guys can't grasp this.

In 2012 season, we were playing with a rag tag, OL, injured players in and out of the OL all year.

It's only the rest of a a few players that matter. Romo, Dez (this is more protection than rest), Martin, McClain, and maybe Murray. Guys who are banged up and could use any time off to get closer to 100% and not put more stress on their already stressed bodies. Even if they choose to sit guys, there is still a game, and many starters would still play some. It's smart to let guys who could use some time to heal some to do so, and not risk losing someone who is essential (Dez). Of course, I'd also love to see Lawrence get to play just about every defensive snap, and hopefully Brent can get some work in too.

We have some scared defeatest fans. It's time to put your big boy pants on and roll into the playoffs; not peeping over your shoulder and around corners while hoping no one see you sneak in.

Winning the division in week 16 after beating the #2 team in the division in week 15 is sneaking in?

Romo has a bad back coach. This is your bye. Don't be foolish. If tony goes down so does our season and you will be torched. Hand him the clipboard and let weeden play. It's the smart thing to do

Although the odds are against the Cowboys getting a bye if Romo doesn't play on Sunday and the Cowboys do end up getting a bye he'll go 2 weeks without playing. The Cowboys season will go down if his rhythm is off and he's not sharp it will result in turnovers something he's had a real issue with in playoff/elimination games. He's playing his best football right now and we need to keep him and the rest of the team in a groove.

When your drunk your more relaxed. You generally won't tense up in a wreck.

When you're drunk you're also much more likely not to use your seat belt or roll over your vehicle and end up with major injuries.

Worst accident I got in my seatbelt almost got me killed. Six of one half dozen of another.

You are wrong sir! If we wind up getting the real bye that's when him and witten slip off to cabo, slap their hats on backwards and draw up plays in the sand.....:D

In 2012 season, we were playing with a rag tag, OL, injured players in and out of the OL all year.

So what's the excuse this year? This was far from a rag tag OL and they still destroyed us when it came to the pass rush.

Face it, Romo and the OL has no idea how to stop the Commanders blitz.

Unlike a preseason game, we do have something to play for. We win this week, there's a chance (albeit small) we could lock up the #1 seed. That means we won't have to go to Seattle or GB - which are tough places to win at - especially this time of year.

I know our home record was 0.500 this year, but Romo wasn't healthy for the 49er game; he wasn't ready for the Eagle game; he didn't play in the Cardinals game; and he played part of the Skins game.

If there is a chance to keep their edge, remain sharp, and lock up home games until the SB, you do it. Give them the best chance for setting up a long playoff run.

If this team were like the Patriots (a team that was a perennial playoff participant), I'd tend to lean towards your view. These Cowboys haven't earned the right to sit key players - at least not to me.

Agreed. Also, the forecast for Sunday in DC is rainy. Not a good day for passing. Both teams can just pound the ball.
