How he is doing got us to 8-1. Could 2016 Romo do better? Maybe. Maybe not.
I don't think the front office or the coaching staff wants to waste a game or two to find out at this point.
Can't say I blame them.

Instead they can waste games when it really matters being stubborn, fearful, and buying into silly cliches.

It's a team sport. Who says that Dak is the reason?

The OL is better than it has been in two decades. The receivers are playing better than they have in 10 years. We have the best RB since Emmitt in a Cowboys uniform.

Sean Lee is finally healthy and our coverage particularly in the middle of the field is the best it has been since Woodson, Pup, and Sanders played together.

What does ant of that have to do with giving Romo 2 gam

I'm not saying that Dak is a problem but he is hardly the reason we are winning.

What does any of that have to do with giving Romo 2 starts in the middle of a season when you are 9-1?

Do you not think Romo will be rusty or do you think he hits the ground running after missing all of this time?

lol... all you did was reinforce what he said. The Cowboys are 15-4 with Romo the last two years and everyone is saying he looks great in practice. You are just full of fear.

Fear of what?

Giving a QB 2 starts to prove himself in the middle of a 9 game winning streak?

I would hope anybody would fear that, especially when you still have to play the teams you are leading to protect your lead.

Never seen a backup QB come off the bench and play great?

Not a single reply to this. Unreal. I feel like people are just plugging their ears and closing their eyes when actual in-depth analysis comes up about Dak.

Dak has an issue with tight window throws. I've repeated this a million times, and each time I hear someone discuss breaking down the tape, it comes up. The issue is, even through 10 weeks, can he make those throws on a consistent basis? A receiver shouldn't always need complete separation to be considered open. Put that ball where only your receiver can get it, zip it in so the defender can't make a play on it.

But hey, I'm just some Eagles fan trolling the boards. I guess BTB has an undercover agent as well.
The comment that Dak has an issue with tight window throws is also an issue with Romo; I don't have a breakdown of film or any game tape to explain but over the years I have made that same comment on here about Romo. My question has been why can't Romo seem to make the throws Rogers, Brady, Brees and other QB's I see throwing a pass into spots only our receiver can catch in tight situations. Yes he does it every now and then but has never been consistent with it and it is usually to Dez who we all know will fight till his last breath to take the ball. Otherwise it's usually an incompletion or interception, this is one I've followed closely so and I can't back it up as I said but I've seen it enough to know he can't do it any more than Dak can on a consistent basis.

In saying that I honestly have no problem if they put Romo back in as the starter, with this team, this year I believe he would kill opposing defenses if it is just a straight up defense, if its the Eagles or another team that likes blitzing a lot or a team with D lineman that will use FreeStyle as a Turnstyle again then he won't last very long. He is not as mobile as he used to be and I believe will probably become a liability in those situations, two years ago he was still able to withstand the beating, now I don't think so much. Either way I'm good though but one thing I think everyone is missing on here is that Dak may have that magic "IT" that makes people and teammates that much better and a knack for winning. This could be what the coaches are seeing more than the skills he has not developed because he isn't a 13 year starter. If he has "IT" then all the stats, throws, defensive reads, ability, agility, or anything will allow Romo to beat him out, we see it with Brady and the bunch of scrubs they surround him with year after year. Dak isn't on that level but doesn't have to be with the line around him, all he has to be is "TAG your IT"... All the way to 6

He won 6 in a row, and 7 out of 8 and won a playoff game.
ok that is fairly good, and then they cut him ! lol
back then I liked tebow, and thought he got a raw deal.

But his passing was pretty bad most of the time, he would hit some big plays though.,
Not really good to compare Dak to Tebow, Dak has a better team, and offensive mantra, and Dak is all around better at
pretty much all phases.

so they wasted the last 4 games ?? lol
you just want tony to play no matter what, I get that, but no team is going to pull a qb who has won 9 in a row !!!!!!!!
It just isnt gonna happen.
Now since tony made his statement, even if they lose a close one, Dak will still start the next game.

only way Tony plays this season is if Dak gets hurt or concussed and cant play.

I think your more of a Romo fan than a cowboy fan, everyone should be be behind dak now, not going on about
how tony should be playing.

What does that have to do with benching the starter who has led the team to a 9-1 record and is playing his best ball of the season?

How does that make any sense?

That is a different argument. I argued the whole "he is definitely going to be rusty" idea everyone keeps throwing out.

FACT 1: Dak Prescott has said this is Tony Romo's team

FACT 2: Jerry Jones has said that this is Tony Romo's team

FACT 3: The coaching staff from top to bottom support Romo as the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.

So what happened??

Behind Dak or the team? You are contradicting yourself.
