Best chance is playing all 16 games and having a rb having a career Cowboy's record year. Good luck with that. Romo will get hit. Just a matter of time.

Since that's the way the Cowboys want to do things then this is the best chance for it to work. I don't think Romo can make it through a whole season but nobody's listening to me.

I don't think you can really look at it as 6 sacks and 35 tackles last season. I mean, that's clearly what it was but I think what needs to happen here is to determine what Hardy might do in this years personnel package. Hardy produced those numbers in a shortened season, after having taken off the entire season the year before. I think that's a really important piece of the puzzle. I think that the addition of Thornton is going to take a lot of pressure off Hardy as well. Thornton is double teamed a good part of the time. Last year, that was Hardy or Crawford. You bring in Thornton and that forces teams to re-evaluate how they defend us. That most certainly helps, either Crawford or Hardy. Possibly both.

HA, what he produced was 6 sacks and 35 tackles for 9 million!

great - now compare that single mind of thought to what stash said and what has garrett done for his money? your effort to continue to diminish hardy didn't even touch stashs point that i can see, just kept after hardy.

I think it would be foolish for the organization NOT to bring Hardy back.

Last year was a disaster and it wasn't because of Hardy whose history was used by certain media elements only to pile the negativity on.

The team never got the opportunity to see the real, on-the-field Hardy except intermittently (due to coaching, injuries, or whatever) and it would be stupid to make organizational decisions based on what often seems to be willfully malignant directed media coverage.

Ironic as it sounds, this article actually gives me hope that he might actually be coming back.

I also want Hardy back. He in my opinion is less troublesome then Haley was but he has to deal with todays media. I also think New State, Team, Teammates might have overwhelmed the country boy Hardy a little bit. A regular individual always has some issues and things they have to get adjusted to when they move from state to state for a job. Hardy's relocation and adjustment, his past transgression, his contract and the team he played for and everything going on with that team forced this situation to be what it is.....BRING HARDY BACK.....

LOL, Garrett can go along with Hardy for all I care. Whatever Redball did or didn't do doesn't change what we got out of Hardy.

The guy is better than anything we currently have, or anything else we can now sign in free agency. Let Garrett - a guy who's never accomplished anything or earned the jobs he's been gifted - either deal with it or resign. Either way this team gets better.

I can just imagine the coaches lining up to take his place after forcing a player, who has the reputation Hardy has, on the team. Whether anyone likes it or not, Garrett will be the coach for 2016. It may be his last year or not, but to think it's wise to force Hardy on him, goes against all logic. I can even see the argument if Hardy put up 10+ sacks or even came close. Yes Hardy is talented, yes he's better than anything we have, but clearly he isn't wanted here and if you think things can't get worse, they easily could when a JGarrett type coach decides he can no longer take working here.

You might want to take him back but, Garrett and Stephen are not the least bit interested in signing him again.
He apparently burned his bridges with players and the staff. He is dead to the Cowboys now!

Curious, besides the woman abuse scandal and the video that came out afterwards, do you know what he did exactly to the Cowboys? I know able the Brady media stuff before the NE game and heard he was late to some meetings after the blow up on the sideline and just lost his way after we started our losing streak. It was as if he became distraught with the team since they were so unsuccessful.
I'm not saying he's right however teams have internal issues all the time but he must have done something really bad to drop him that quickly. Heck Ratliff almost physically attacked JJ and they still considered him on the team afterwards.
Have you heard anything else?

Bleacher report isn't a legitimate source by any means whatsoever but take it for what it's worth. Personally, it sounds like pure agent talk to try and get someone to budge on the guy and nothing more, but I could very well be wrong. Honestly, i just want the guy to sign SOMEWHERE, hopefully back in Dallas but if not, please God just let someone sign him so we can put this God-awful speculation to rest once and for all...

Just read an ESPN piece in the Newsfeed Zone saying the same as the BR article.

Thanks for posting.

I am not worried one bit about what happens to him. He can live under a bridge for all I care, just don't let him back in a Cowboy uniform.

Patience...weren't we at this point last year also, wondering what to do about DE. Some People panicked, others, well, panicked, a few said they was not in a panic, but they were.
Then relief, Hardy was signed, Gregory was drafted, Russell was drafted.

Now same thing, Lawrence coming off. Back surgery, Gregory 4 game suspension. Don't know what we have in Russell, Mincey waiting in the wings to be signed, people now don't want Hardy. No other FA's out there, and more do not want Bosa than the ones that do want him.

Draft Elliot, keep the defense off the field.....so no need to panic....

Good defensive ends will be cut after the draft

To answer your question Romo has been hurt though not in every year. He has had issues with his back and twice with the
collar bone. Hopefully, the collar bone issue is now behind us and Romo said that his back is feeling better and stronger than
it has in 3 years. The facts are that we will either win with Romo or suck without him. No rookie QB is going to save a season
his first year.

Your wasting your breathe.. Your not going to convince these "negative Nancy's" so-called Cowboy fans of anything. We have a top five QB right now and only have about three years left to use him towards a Super Bowl. Just like Elway towards the end of his Career.. We need to do whatever it takes to get Romo (& Witten for that matter) a ring.
These guys like PaJamathedoors(suck) want you to believe they can see the future and try to convince the true believing REAL fans that the Boys can't win anymore with Romo...Like they have some crystal ball. Don't believe that hogwash!
We have the best OL in the NFL. Fact! We have a top five Qb. Fact! We have arguably the best WR in football. Fact! We have the #4 leading rusher from last year. Fact! One of the best 1-2 punches at LB w/decent dept. Witten "overall" still plays better than most TEs in the league. We have solid CB play, that could use some help from the DL and it just so happens this draft is deep at that position. So younger talented DL is on its way. We have good young talent on this team, but if you listen to some of the tards on here.. You'd truely believe they're just trolling Eagles fans.
The fact is we are only a year removed from 12-4. The ONLY reason we had a crappy season was because of injuries to the two most important players on offense. It's the NFL folks! injuries happen on a daily basis. A backup QB will be addressed, just not at #4. Continue to keep the faith as a REAL Dallas Cowboy fan and ignore the so-called fans.. Some people just live their whole life looking at the negative things in life. Don't let their pity consume you. GoCowboys!!

Wasn't Charles Haley's reputation as a cancer within the San Francisco lockerroom? If we are winning and Garrett learns how to manage difficult personalities like Jimmy did, Hardy would be a huge asset.

I think I've changed my stance on Hardy and agree with your sediment. I didn't want Hardy back mainly due to the locker room presence, but I truely believe wherever he ends up.. He'll have a great season now that he's back to football shape. If we can team Hardy with Lawrence, Gregory, Bosa, T. Crawford, Jack Crawford, Irving, T. McClain, & Thornton.. Now that looks like a very decent DL. I'm in.

The more i think about it, the more i can accept taking a RB at #4. Put me on the Elliott train.

Yeah yeah... We basically should have kept Murray and we might be looking at an offseason after a big Super Bowl win. Don't get me started though.
