I would hope Dallas will not do a trade for a 30 year old RB to me this would be taking a step backwards once again and for what to sell tickets? He is on the downhill side of his career the days of dominance is over with and yet many here complain about paying for what a player did in the past? that is what Dallas would be doing with Peterson paying for what he was. Based on Jones comments it appears Dallas will be trying to do what they can to get Murray signed which I think it the best thing for this team but should things not work out then Dallas should look to the draft or a FA back like Ingram but I think it is ridicules to even contemplate a trade for an older player

I dont see dallas doing a trade. But i do see him being released and us giving him a 3-4 million dollar per year deal. Why you ask? Well, he has already publicly stated he doesnt care about money and he has already made a lot of money lol. Who knows though, its fun to banter with you. lol

As with most things, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. I do believe AP feels as though MN has burned a bridge with him, but I do not believe he has expressly asked to be traded to Dallas.

I believe AP has made it clear he's not all gunned-up (Jerry term!) about playing for the Vikings again, and that's about it.

From what I have read, as a condition of his suspension, he is restricted from having contact with the Vikings organization. And if that is the case, how could he publicly and directly tell the Vikings he wanted to be traded?

It's easier for me to say what I don't believe.

I don't believe Peterson wants to remain in Minnesota any longer. An inconsequential team taking another shot at another young quarterback hoping that this time it will actually work.

I also don't believe that the Vikings have any intention of honoring Peterson's current contract, despite whatever damage control B.S. they're sewing about 'wanting him back'.

What I do believe is that ideally Peterson wants to be the starting running back for the Dallas Cowboys.

Whether all of the other factors like Murray's future, Peterson's current status, and his eventual asking price line up is another question.

That's what I see too, but - if Murray gets overpaid as I think he will - I can see Peterson getting a 3-year deal for $15 - $20 million with a lot of 'funny money' details thrown in.
