Could it be worse? Absolutely. Could it be a lot better? Absolutely.

I would add more but you would not listen anyway

If Tom Brady was our QB last year, Dallas would have been 4-12 or worse. He would have been killed.

ABQCOWBOY;5102462 said:The problem is not Roger's opinion. If you read or listened to what Roger actually says, it's to terribly far off from what many posters say on this board.
The problem is that too many take what a person like Roger says and twist it into some sort of statement on points other then what was actually being said. This, IMO, is the problem.

Idgit;5102469 said:It's not terribly far off from those posters' opinions, because those posters have reasonable opinions about Tony Romo, and Roger's in a unique position to corroborate that.
I can't speak to any twisting. Obviously, if anything's getting twisted into something he's not saying, then whatever is compelling about Roger's opinion gets lost in the argument-wrangling.
ABQCOWBOY;5102470 said:Right, I actually went back and corrected my last post as I posted it wrong. What I meant to say was that Roger's statements are NOT to terribly off a great many posters here. However, the truth is still the truth and the truth is that many will take what Roger said and use it as confirmation that we "Have a Championship" QB, which we do not. That's the problem.
WPBCowboysFan;5102475 said:Obviously Roger is calling Tony a championship "caliber" QB since Romo has no championship yet. The whole point he makes is that Romo has what it takes to get it done.
ABQCOWBOY;5102457 said:No.....
ABQCOWBOY;5102483 said:No, the whole point he is making is that Romo has the talent to become a Championship QB IF he gets more help.
What is being presented by many is that Romo is already that kind of QB and he's not.
Why is this important? It's important because the contract that we have signed with Romo is a huge factor in obtaining some of that much needed talent. The team obviously feels as though Romo is already that guy but much of the fan base does not agree.
I do not agree that he is. I think he can be but I am far from believe that he already is, based on what I have seen in the past.
