I expect blitzing and I expect Orton to read it and hit the hot route. Lately with Romo probably because of his back if they blitzed he would just go down. I really felt that if teams blitzed us more we would have been in trouble.

This rings true.

I was getting appauled by how much Romo was just tucking the ball and dropping to the ground
As long as the line holds up. If their getting pressure and in the backfield all day Romo is not only the best option but our only chance. I have faith in Orton if he is protected though. In no way do I think he gives us a better chance than Tony. I am more concerned about Lee being out however.
Orton has a lot of positive things coming into this situation.

The OL has played better as the season played out and the running game has worked.

And lately, Romo would tuck and go down with a sack at the first sign of pressure.

I think Orton's arm is actually stronger than Romo's at this point.

I expect Orton to throw some deep routes to Terrance Newsome and some quick slants to beat the blitz.

Kurt Warner is probably the only intelligent guy on that set and he's not even one of the "regulars." He does the gameday mornings more frequently.

I love Irvin and love listening to him but he isn't too bright himself.

Kurt Warner is usually most of the time and Irvin not bright? Not sure how you ever came to that conclusion.

I knew someone would be sensitive to me saying something about Irvin. You must not watch Total Access often. He says some outlandish things and agrees with Deion half the time, who many on here have stated is an idiot (which I agree btw). He's also had a ton of moments in which he appears to lose his mind. Many people speculated he was drunk and of course some joked about him still snorting but on some situations, something is definitely off with him. The most recent episode was after the Saints game where he laughed hysterically for no reason and ended by saying "I'm just a stupid black man." He also raved about Nick Foles, who he referred to as Kevin Kolb for the majority of the night.

I love Irvin, and Emmit too. But as "analysts" they aren't that bright. Kurt is definitely the best of the bunch on total access and even the host is ok too. I lost some respect for him yesterday though with the whole "poke fun at Romo" stuff.

I'm not so sure about Orton's arm, he certainly wasn't all that impressive during the training camp.

Terrance Newsome? So when did we get a new WR?

I really don't think TO meant anything strongly anti-Romo here. He's kind of a pleaser at times, so a guy like Deion can back him in a corner some.
For all we know, the team may rally and play out of their minds on Sunday. That happens sometimes when teammates are picking it up for an injured star payer.
Lets hope so.

You're right. Nobody knowledgable has ever said Orton had a strong arm. But it's week 17, so I suspect it is much fresher if anything.

I really hope so, I hope Orton plays well, without turnovers and the team play well to get a win tomorrow night, lot of hoping in my part, lol

Well, I'll be...you are past puberty! 30 years old, wow. I have food in the fridge that is older than that! lol

We can't all be old hags now, 5Star.

Point was simply that i was very into football already for the Thurman Thomas/Andre Reed era.

False. If they are blitzing, then adjust. Kill them with hot routes and quick passes to where the blitzing man left spots open. Good QBs and good OC's will make you pay to blitz. Thing is, we have maybe the dumbest offensive gameplan in the NFL. We don't adjust. Ever. You blitz us, we keep trying calling long developing routes down field. Never anything short to the unoccupied space. How about some crossing routes?

And Romo is good about escaping pressure but he's not good at recognizing the blitz and calling hot routes or changing the play.

If you knew then you shouldn't have said. Irvin is smart and intelligent. I don't know where you get this bs about him not being that way. Just because he yells a little and shows some emotion doesn't mean he isn't intelligent. What I can't is people like you stereotyping someone and then adding that he isn't very smart. Kurt Warner is ok but to me he really doesn't add much to his analysis especially for you to say he's the best of the bunch. He just says company line stuff as far as I'm concerned.

I heard the T.O.'s comments on NFL Network... He actually said Orton flat out gives Dallas the best chance to win because of Romo's late game history.

You assumed I was stereotyping when in reality my statement was based on facts. Showing emotion is one thing. Being completely off base with analysis and incorrect with starting QBs and WRs is another. As stated before, he and Deion are generally in agreeance, which most people agree is off base.

Find a different way to make this about race because no one is stereotyping anyone, especially considering I'm African American myself.

I don't believe in the coaching staff adjusting as well that's why I believe if there is pressure it will be a long day.
