Myself, Jerry Jones, completely whiffed on this kid. I wanted Wentz, Lynch, Conner Cook, etc. etc.

From the reports we know a few things.

The Cowboys showed more interest in Dak during the predraft process than any other team.

Dak's Pro Day was sparsely attended. Very few NFL teams even did that much due diligence.

Dak's off the field incidents apparently took him off some teams draft boards without a more thorough investigation into his character.

There were certainly elements of luck in the Cowboys selecting Dak, but their interest in Dak leading up to the draft was not luck. The lack of interest showed by other teams was also not luck but rather a deliberate decision made by them.

@sadams and @EST_1986 both need to share their dissertation on how "turrible" Dak Prescott is.

And hopefully Risen Star keeps his word on never bad-mouthing Wade Wilson again.

This is even better than when he decided to hate Hitchens.

It also helps that Jerry doesn't care if you're an alcoholic. Not saying that Dak is one but Jerry is like that just the same.
