they will go at least 3 TE's i can see Luepke getting basically a 4th TE/H back role in the 53.. I dont see a scenario we keep 4 TE's and Luepke.
Yeah it's kind of crazy that hendershot kind of fell off I thought he had some potentially starting to remind me of jarwin he flashes here and there but disappears I'm curious if he makes the team this year over McKeon because I believe McCann is a better blocker correct I mean I'm not sure how they feel about them because you almost have not heard his name and seen much of hendershot all offseason and in preseason which is weird... But I do like what I've seen out of Ferguson I really believe he's a starter he's gonna be better than Dalton and so far it looks like at least screen maker his foot 's better and now we'll see what he can do in real games..

The problem is you need another complete 3-down back to step in for Pollard. Yeah- Dowdle and Davis are JAG-ish, but neither Luepke nor Deuce are well suited for that role. (Between those 2, Luepke would be the better every down back because he can block and has power)

So the team needs to keep a RB2 that can step into Pollard's role. For now that's Dowdle, for better or worse. Pollard and Dowdle are locks.

The only way Luepke makes the final 53 is if the team keeps 4 RB, or if Deuce is cut to the PS. I think they've made up their minds to keep Deuce on the 53 (a late 6th has never made the team so easily) 4 RB seems to be the only way for Luepke to make the final roster. It would be tragic to lose him.
What you said doesn't even make sense if Tony Pollard is starter why would you need a three down back you need running back by committee guys who can come in and provide the role of a three down back but only do it on one down here and there I mean if you have a three down back what would you do with Tony Pollard you don't need a three down back this is the new NFL running back by committee.. I mean it's weird that you think Tony polar can't be a starter but everyone kept saying he's better than zeke that he should have been the starter all last year not just part of it.. If you have a blue chip three down back you wouldn't need Tony Pollard and these other players you would just give them all the snaps we just did that we just got rid of a old school three down back that's not the system we're gonna be running this year I mean think about it just read your first part of your first sentence that we need a three down back if we have a every down back why would you need the rest of these running backs that is not how we are going to be structured this year get past it.. I realize it's hard to imagine the Dallas Cowboys without one big name superstar running back that does it all but this is the new NFL and we're finally turning the corner and we have guys that have varying skill sets that all match the new way people use running backs in the NFL..

Need an example what did Kansas City bring to the table at running back last year?? Exactly a seventh round pick and guys who are just role players running back by committee and they won a Super Bowl there are more people winning Super Bowls with lesser names at running back then there are the big name running backs ever even playing in the Super bowl..

If Pollard is out, you need one RB who can handle the entire playbook, not a "committee" of specialized backs.

Just watch when the cuts come on Tuesday. Dallas will 100% keep either Dowdle or Davis on the 53. Dowdle is the favorite by far between those 2. Dallas understands they need a well rounded RB2.

Luepke did better than Davis yesterday . Much better.

Please don't be one of those people dude Pollard is not out so let's not even go there yet and even if he was you use what's on your staff again running back by committee how do you know that they can't handle using 3 running backs in the place of Tony Pollard and still be effective you don't know so stop acting like there's a problem before there's ever a problem you do not go and add somebody to the roster it's a three down back just in case Pollard gets hurt that's not how you build a roster..JEEZ Lousie! So whenever we had Elliot or Emmett or DeMarco on this team and they got hurt what would have happened you have to have another one of the exact same back just in case that's not how it works!!

So you're wrong I disagree and anytime you come back at me I'm gonna still disagree you're making up things that haven't happened yet and by the way if that did happen you just go out on the street and you find one of those there are a lot of them out there trust me there's some out there now there's some out there after cut down this week on Tuesday there'll be many more during the season that will be out there and if they got desperate the trade deadlines in October you literally can make it trade for one when the issue actually arises not now...

so let me be clear no you ARE wrong.. Thank the good Lord they don't allow fans to actually be the GM's or they try to fit saquon Barkley Taylor and Henry on the team at the same time because they think they gotta make sure if there's any injuries they have equal players right behind them that we wouldn't miss a beat we'd have three hall of Famers at every position...

This guy has a unique skill set. In the open field he’s a problem.
Really what kind of unique elusiveness did Hunter display ?
Caught the ball and ran upfield.

- If he was so "unique " as a RB -FB, he would have been drafted.
He's a big RB .. not a bruising physical blocking FB.
His touches would take away touches from Deuce and Rico

- Hunter to the Practice Squad
Ditto with Malik Davis. Keep them both handy on PR until there is an RB injury (ala Rico)

I like Luepke, got a little Christian McCaffrey in him of that style. Unfortunately, he plays a position that is pretty full in Dallas.

The meltdown for some of you guys will be  popcorn worthy if Luepke doesn't make the 53. We talking about an RB4. I like the player too, but it's not that serious.

He is a fullback that can play running back.
McKeon played more FB.
Luepke didn't line up at FB that I recall, I could be wrong tho.
He is a RB you guys are calling a FB. If he doesn't line up at FB, he's not a FB.

He for sure can play fullback. It's definitely in his skill set.
It may be but does he do it better than the 4th TE, thats the question.. he will make the team if he is a better FB/SP player than the 4th TE, otherwise i dont see a spot for him.

this means if fans want to keep him, jones wont lol. He will probably wind up on PSquad.
Then another team will grab him.
Since pollard , dowdle, and duece already secured 3 spots, only 1 left? so they have to choose between davis, luepke, and jones.

I like him, he made a nice catch on a low ball and some good running, but every time I like a guy he winds up being cut or on PS.

If luepke can make the ST squad, then maybe he makes the cut.
