Disagree, Dowdle is a more dynamic runner in all aspects, and the only other RB on the roster that could potentially be a feature back.Better power runner, as in getting those 2-4 yds that a team desperately needs on 3rd/4th and short.
IMO, we have:
Pollard: Very good comp back
Deuce: Nice gadget player
Lupper: Awesome blocker, decent power runner
Dowdle, Davis: Moderately talented JAGs. Phillip Tanner clones.
L O L based on what exactly?Disagree, Dowdle is a more dynamic runner in all aspects, and the only other RB on the roster that could potentially be a feature back.
They like their backs and I do too.Exactly there is no point in keeping JAGs. They are a dime a dozen in free agency in case of emergency.
Based on what I've observed....L O L based onw hat exactly?
I'm sure you do. You have the company line down. I hear Jerry's boots need some licking. They like their backs and I do too.
Best team in decades. Enjoy the ride!I'm sure you do. You have the company line down. I hear Jerry's boots need some licking.
Outstanding hands, can block, can run with power. I hope that he makes the team.I like the kid and his versatility.
You know kind of like will Greer they played against a bunch of scrubs hard to truly evaluate a player in that situation but I did like what I saw. This guy has a unique skill set. In the open field he’s a problem.
Malik but also you have to go short at TE..Malik or Luepke..? Who stays who goes?
Yes some of that may be true but sometimes you make a name for yourself when you have a show out game even if it's in preseason it gives you that edge over say a fourth tight end or another guy you might have been close to we do need a short yardage guy and he looks better than Malik when you're talking about goal line short yardage and he can go out and look pretty good in the pass game I mean he was making catches in his shoelaces and over his head.. So he's more versatile than Malik and he obviously can bring more to the game then eight fourth tight end that's what a game like that can do for a player he could have been on the bubble and now he's on the positive side....had one good game. Dont see how he's qualified to make team.
To play in NFL, demands more than luck.
It's funny I've seen a lot of complaints about the running backs and from what I've seen is that they are in good shape at the position and will be in great shape in the future if they hit on Deuce and Luepke. A 6th rounder and an undrafted player will help bigtime with the salary cap.You know kind of like will Greer they played against a bunch of scrubs hard to truly evaluate a player in that situation but I did like what I saw.
however, I agree and dare I say he looks a little like the moose?? I mean if you give this guy some really super old school old style oversized pads with moose's # on the back, you wouldn't much tell the difference... dare i lol ??
I believe you have to though go short at tight end if you're gonna do this and who else gets cut off the running back live but yes he's a short yardage back he's a goal line back he can get you some yards in the pass game and be the fullback that's pretty much gives him more value than say a fourth tight end.
I think all the fans all off season saying that they're very concerned about the running back room really haven't been watching I think this might be one of the most versatile running rooms we've had in a while and that we're not going to just be counting on one guy and if he gets hurt this season's over. I like what we have at running back right now.
they will go at least 3 TE's i can see Luepke getting basically a 4th TE/H back role in the 53.. I dont see a scenario we keep 4 TE's and Luepke.Malik but also you have to go short at TE..
Like
RB

Furgy, Schoonmaker, and its Hendershot vs?? McKeon? Stphen's got IR do that bit easier. or go with 2 TEs?
