Lol
Cmon Coy. Don't ruin my night.
Since you just had to unnecessarily push the subject, here you go sir....
TJ Yeldon
Ameer Abdulla
Duke Johnson
Matt Jones
My boy Mike Davis
Jay Ajay
Karlos Williams
Cameron Artis-Payne
All were rbs taken between the 2nd & 5th rounds and all have contributed in some capacity this year with potential to become bell cows for their respective teams.
Chaz hasn't seen the field. I would love to see him tomorrow.... 2nd stringers competing for clarity in the offseason. That's all I want to see. Hungry 2nd stringers.
What did any of them do with their respective teams? And some don't even have good rbs. Ur boy didn't even finish the season by the way. 25 carries for 24 yards lol. nobe of them have been guys who have been tough yrd guys. None of them and most of them can't even get on the field.
Ur post only further solidified ur argument as a fail. If u were smart you would've said Dallas shouldn't have played it cute and drafted Rawls in the 7th round instead of trying to sign him as a udfa
Dallas is going to win and Garrett will get to say they finished strong and played really hard, smh.
Draft position obviously isn't irrelevant. Neither is it a reason to throw football games.
We're sitting a lot of players, too, We better try to win with the ones we're playing, though. I'll be perfectly happy with a meaningless sweep of the Commanders and a top-8 pick. Won't lose a wink of sleep over it not being a top-5 pick.
Hard to see why a team that was good enough to go 12-4 last year should tank to jump up a couple of draft spots. This is not the Cowboys way, or at least it didn't use to be...

What we are seeing this year is more of the "Cowboy Way" for this generation. "Fight" and still be mediocre, giving it a try but still falling short. Last year was an anomaly. Far too much confidence, direction, focus and dominance.
I hear you, but nonetheless I don't like the idea of tanking. This team needs to learn how to win, especially at home where the failure rate has been epic...
Most of the players likely to see significant action in this game won't even be around next year if the front office does its job correctly. So the only one who has to learn how to win is who exactly? The staff?
Why not? Don't you think that JG needs to improve in this area?
I would think by now he has had enough lessons on what it should take to win. Sad thing is, he has pretty much failed in each "one and done" situation which would have provided him the best training ground.
If he has not learned it by now, this one ridiculously worthless game isn't going to push him over the top.
If anything, a game played by bottom of the roster players against other bottom of the roster players would be a poor measuring stick. A lot of these players are going to auditioning for other teams, not for significant roles as Cowboys going forward.

I wasn't aware that the team decided to rest most of the regulars. This would put a slightly different spin on the matter. Nonetheless, I would still prefer that they try to win....
Skins coach says healthy starters will play.
“Kirk (Cousins) is getting ready to start the football game. Jordan Reed is getting ready. All our [healthy] guys are starting,” Gruden said. “They’re getting ready to play the game and then how I substitute throughout the course of the game will be dependent on how we’re doing health-wise and the situation of the game.”

The "healthy" starters are few and far between.
He can find a reason to bench Desean Jackson, Trent Williams, Jason Hatcher, Dashon Goldson, DeAngelo Hall, Jordan Reed, Matt Jones and Perry Riley.
All have been listed on their injury report most of the week.
He can go "oh, well, they weren't healthy".
Griffin is one player they won't play due to his contract.Cousins is playing. Better him than RGIII.
Do not (I repeat) do not go out on Sunday and make any attempts to beat the Skins. The ability to trade down for value from a top 3 pick is so much more appealing than #7 or 8... We should be resting anyone of value that does not require further evaluation. Guys like Showers should be dressed and ready to take a half of football. This should be treated very much like a preseason game. What do we have to gain here against the Skins? ZILCH!
We already beat the Skins this year when it mattered. Winning this game would suck and I have no doubt Jerry would throw up a little in his throat if, at the final bell, the Cowboys are ahead of the Skins. I would even venture to say some of you will too. Let the backups battle it out for early slotting next year. This isn't tanking 101 here... This is one game with one outcome that has already been determined.
For once coaches, go with a winning strategy.
