Yep, with Mukuamu taking a CB spot on the roster.I have a feeling Cowboys will keep it safe and go with 5.

2nd year Safety, Israel Mukuamu (6'4", 220 lbs, 4.46 40 time), shined during dual practices this week between the Cowboys and Chargers.
Mukuamu makes INT on Herbert pass during 1-on-1 drills.

If Mukuamu keeps shining, does he make the 53 player roster?
I think Bell is being groomed to replace Kearse in his role in 2024.
Since he doesn't possess the skillset to play CB in the NFL, why would you think he's more natural there? Great tackler w/ experience at S. I'd say the opposite is true, he's a more natural S at the NFL level. As a more natural CB imo, I've always thought Mukuamu would be best used as a TE stopper a la Byron Jones early in his career. I still like Mukuamu as a CB prospect too, moreso, than Saftey but I trust DQ and crew know what their doing.
My Safety lineup:
SS Kearse
FS Hooker
SS Bell
FS Coyle
I see Mukuamu as a hybrid CB/S, and Ole Dono getting traded as he's in the last year of his contract.
Cool, that's your opinion.Since he doesn't possess the skillset to play CB in the NFL, why would you think he's more natural there? Great tackler w/ experience at S. I'd say the opposite is true, he's a more natural S at the NFL level.
He's a natural S who played CB in college.Cool, that's your opinion.
I just see him different than you do. We'll see. He's a natural S who played CB in college.
His lack fluidity and flexibility keeps him from playing CB in the NFL. What is it that makes you say otherwise?
Bell seems to be a favorite of coaches, media and fans.
Is there room for both?
I don't think so. He only played 5 games last season & remained on the bench. Both Kearse & Hooker were re-signed after strong 2021 seasons, & are expected to take up the bulk of reps on defense.Yep, with Mukuamu taking a CB spot on the roster.
No reasoning behind your thoughts?I just see him different than you do. We'll see.
Coyle and no Wilson? As a more natural CB imo, I've always thought Mukuamu would be best used as a TE stopper a la Byron Jones early in his career. I still like Mukuamu as a CB prospect too, moreso, than Saftey but I trust DQ and crew know what their doing.

I keep 24 too. I'd rather keep him than 25 at this point. How many safeties are we expected to keep ?
Four or five ?
if four safeties:
1 Kearse
2 Hooker
3 Wilson
4 Bell
5 ..?
