I think Christian Kirk will be the best one of all.
I like Kirk and Anthony in the second and one of them is likely there at 50.

Let's say that Dallas cuts Dez and is hoping to replace him with a draft pick. Let's take a look at the first round receivers from the past several years and let me know if any of these guys excites you?
2017:
7. Mike Williams.
9. John Ross
2016:
15. Corey Coleman
21. Will Fuller
22. Josh Docton
23. Laquon Treadwell
2015:
4. Amari Cooper
14. Devante Parker
20. Nelson Agholor
26. Breshad Perryman
29. Phillip Dorsett
I really think that taking a receiver at 19 would be a horrible idea. I know that it was posted in other threads the % of routes that Dez ran last year. 29% was a 9 route. Coincidentally, he ran a comeback at 3%, really!!?? 3%? That is a great compliment route if you are constantly running the 9 Route. If Dez stays, and I hope he does, let's hope that this new Dak friendly offense is also Dez friendly too.
Outside the box thought.
Beasley potentially gets cut if we draft a WR and Switzer shows improvement in camps.
I'd have to think that even the Jones boys could get something for Beasley in a trade.
Dezs numbers and Wittens were both very similar the previous year.... Beasley is the guy that crapped the bed.Right, we held onto Dez and Witten for 1 too many years IMHO.
You sure about that?
LOL.

Is it possible that the coaching staff are finding people to blame for their inability to adjust. Peterson lost his QB and won the Super Bowl... is it possible that’s our failures from last year should be blamed on running a 1992 scheme and not the monumental collapse of Dez Bryant?

No, more a flyer in the 5-6-UDFAs. I don't want to get rid of Witten but is also overpaid, just share snaps as the #1TE and not making the 12 package bc not such an obv running situation where Witten is the only passing threat of the two TEs.You think we are taking a TE in the 1st 3 rounds? And even if we do, why would that necessitate dumping Witten instead of maybe Swaim?
I agree. The snake oil salesman will keep Dez here, do some magic with the numbers, make Dez feel "respected" in regards to said magic numbers and lock him in for another...3 years? And the same magic numbers will somehow be more in line with his production, thus quelling the "he's not producing what he is getting paid mantra"If Stephen jones was meeting with Dez..then we could talk about Dez being cut. But reading the tea leaves and who is meeting with him...HE AINT GOING ANYWHERE. At least for this year. No trade..not being cut.
I'll give him one more year out of loyalty and for his leadership; but Dak's strengths are in the short passing game and he does hold the team back in this regard. Ugly truth. Also add to the fact we never use the cap money from these proposed Dez/Witten cuts anyway. Who are we going to pick up? He needs to give up some some #1TE reps if we are if ever going to keep the D's honest; they give us the 7yd sitdowns, etc.He should. Team being held hostage by him. And his 1/2 yard short of a 1st down routes, and his false starts.
time for him to go.
Kirk would make Beasley and Switzer both expendable, but I think he's truly special.

With a RPO offense, Dak needs quick WR's who resemble the old Smurfs from the Commanders all those years ago. Dak needs
quick WR's who can pivot on a dime and create immediate separation. Dak can deliver quickly or take off on the run.
I gave him his respect in a different reply but agree with you in regards to leadership and loyalty. He's not overpaid bc we'll never use the cap space anywayWitten is the one guy that keeps the locker room in order and that every player is accountable to. He's not overpaid, even though he's not the player he used to be.
Demarco Murray said he owes his success to Witten. He tells every player he can to watch and mimic everything Witten does.
That's more valuable than any coach we have.
He'd be dead by October. We've seen it with too many QBs. He needs to learn to play like Russell Wilson, who runs as a last resort.
LOL... now THIS I absolutely can see the clapping carrot and his vanilla queen OC contemplating...touché!Our new offense is going to have 10 receivers and they are all running out for a pass....![]()
Don't know much about Kirk and Anthony, but I believe that Switzer can make Beasley expendable when his contract is up. Don't get me wrong, If our offense could figure out how to use both Beasley and Switzer, I believe there could be some incredible mismatch opportunities. Unfortunately, I don't have that much faith in our offensive scheme and creativity to be able to properly utilize both. Therefore, I believe the Switzer pick was always planned as a possible Beasley replacement down the road.Kirk would make Beasley and Switzer both expendable, but I think he's truly special.
You think Dak could carry us with his arm like Russell had to last year. I’m assuming your being hopeful??He'd be dead by October. We've seen it with too many QBs. He needs to learn to play like Russell Wilson, who runs as a last resort.
