Yes! We're down to one great LB who's health is always 50/50. The real elephant in the room.Lol, what we need is some LB math

Why not some TE math....Top 3 rds means Witten goes?
The Myth of Rico...feel ya there. I wouldn't mind a TE draft pick w/some speed to compete in general (who actually played D1 ball). Can't say I'm still not interested in Rico as much as he is talked up. Starting to distinctly feel like tall tales of Bigfoot sightings tho

Six
Dez
Hurns
Williams
Beasley
Switzer
One of Thomas/Brown/Draft pick
My bet is Thomas gets cut, Brown spends another year on the PS and we draft a receiver in round 3 or so.
Some of you want this to be more complicated than it is because you desperately want Dez gone.
Agree with the number but I think Beasley or Williams gets traded and Thompson is the only true speed WR the team currently has and I hope to god they do not draft a WR high just to get a 3rd or 4th option receiver like Williams.Six

Think Dallas will draft LB's in the middle of the draft, rounds 3-6 and draft at least 2 if not 3or 4 LB's.Yes! We're down to one great LB who's health is always 50/50. The real elephant in the room.
I agree to an extent but teams do it all the time to hedge against the draft or a youngster on the team. The good thing is when you hedge you just need to be smart about the cost. You don't sign Thompson as a free agent and then cut him without giving him a year. FO would look like idiots.
Still think Dallas goes WR in the 1st or 2nd round.Hurns
Dez
Thomas
Beasley
Switzer
Williams
Brown
Draft pick in rounds 1-3
How many receivers do you need?
A TE in the middle of the draft also. The Myth of Rico...feel ya there. I wouldn't mind a TE draft pick w/some speed to compete in general (who actually played D1 ball).
Time to save some money and move on.
Not sure how accurate this is although it is being reported on several of the radio shows. Supposedly the meeting with Jerry has merit in terms of Dez's contract. If Dez is on the roster on April 16th, his salary becomes guaranteed even in the event of injury. If true, then have to believe the options are take a pay cut, or Dallas has a trade partner willing to eat the salary i.e. like Cleveland last year with the QB, or be cut outright (most likely situation). Seems like if this is true about the contract then Dallas cannot cut him as a June 1st designation because technically he would be part of the team until June 1st.
By Saturday, have a feeling either Dez has taken a pay cut or some type of redo of his contract or we have seen the last of Dez as a Cowboy. And the same media sources are saying that none of the WR in the draft apparently are rated in the top 25 picks of the Cowboys. Just when you think you know something the world blows up.

Dez Bryant signed a five year, $70 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys on July 15, 2015. $32 million is fully guaranteed upon signing, which incldues a $20 million signing bonus and his 2015 and 2016 base salaries. If Bryant is on the roster on the fifth day of 2016 League Year his $13 million 2017 salary, that is guaranteed for injury only will become fully guaranteed to bring the total guarantee to $45 million. Base salaries of the contract come from a report by Todd Archer.
Or it could be viewed in a way that Jerry respects Dez enough to want to break the news himself (that they're cutting Dez), rather than having Stephen do it.If Stephen jones was meeting with Dez..then we could talk about Dez being cut. But reading the tea leaves and who is meeting with him...HE AINT GOING ANYWHERE. At least for this year. No trade..not being cut.
