For those that were on the fence it's time to face the music. Dak just isn't good. He's an injury waiting to happen at this point and he requires elite players everywhere to even look halfway decent. When Dak is your QB the margin of error with the rest of the roster is incredibly small. The Teddy Bridgewater's and Garner Minshews of the world would look better right now. I mean, I thought Rush looked better.

So we have 3 options here:

Do we try to get a QB through the draft like Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, or Allen?

Do we sign a QB like Tampa did with Brady?

Do we trade for a QB like the Rams did with Stafford?

Personally, with us being stuck with the injury prone and not good Dak Prescott I think we should draft a 1st rounder THIS YEAR with our high draft pick we'll have. This years draft is supposed to be very high on QB talent. This is the year we should do it.

We can put him behind Dak and let him learn and as soon as Dak can be let go we let him go.

It's time to take the QB seriously again for the first time since Aikman.

While not a fan of Dak, his contract is such that trading for a QB is not an option given any quality QB would have a high salary and as such Dallas would be stuck with 2 highly paid QB's on their roster. In terms of free agency, there is no quality QB to bring as it stands now and during the off-season we are in the same position with Dak on the payroll. The last option of drafting a quality QB in the 1st round would be the most affordable option but still leaves Dak stuck on the roster for at least another season before Dallas can do anything with him and certainly there would be a lot of animosity on behalf of Dak in this event.

Whether it's best for Dallas or not, Dak is here to stay for at least another 2 seasons (2022 & 2023) based on his current contract.

There are a million other examples. Crazy stuff happens week 1. That is why it is absurd to draw any conclusions about a team after this week. After 3-4 weeks...sure.

We should draft, but similar to the Amari trade, I feel like Jerry may panic and give away a pick for mid level talent to over compensate.

I think you've been conditioned to think that because we've not seen actual great consistent QB play since Aikman.

We absolutely could win with a Mahomes or Brady clone.

Don't let 15 combined years of an undrafted talent and 4th round talent at the QB position cloud your vision. A great QB can change everything.

Ive been saying this for almost 5 years now. Yes the Cowboys are poorly managed and have two idiots running the team, but a better QB wins that game against SF last year.

Look at the Bengals. The are a horribly ran franchise as well, and their #1 overall pick took them to the SB in year 2 and came so close to winning it all
