Depends on if Parcells stays and if the new coach wants to keep some guys or bring in some of his own guys.
I don't have a problem with Sporano. He did a great job with the TE's in '04, had nothing to work with in '05 due to injuries on the O-Line and say what you will, the O-Line has improved this year and we're doing it with Gurode...a guy that most of us wanted gone...Colombo a guy with a draft bust label, and a journeyman in Kosier along with a 31 year old left tackle with a bum knee. Rivera is the worst O-Lineman, but at least he's 33 years old, with two bad knees and a bad back. Blame Parcells for getting him, not Sporano because he can't turn Rivera into his former Pro Bowl self.
Palmer should be kept mainly because I believe he's given us more offensive formations and facts are facts...we're in the top 5 in points scored per game. Tough to fire offensive coaches that can bring your offense from being in the doldrums to being a top 5 scoring unit. I wouldn't mind seeing Haley go, he's too Jekyll and Hyde to be a coach for my tastes. That being said, he's done a good job with the WR's.
Zimmer....gone. He sucks.
Pasqualoni should probably be on the fence. Are TE's stunk last season and while Ware is terrific this year and Ayodele has played well, Bradie James and Kevin Burnett look terrible. I'm not sure if this is all Pasqualoni's fault or not, but it seems to be indicative.
Bowles I'd probably keep. Henry is better here than he was in Cleveland. Newman is a top CB in the NFL, Aaron Glenn has been resurrected and Reeves looks like he could be a starter elsewhere. Roy has been off and on in coverage and the FS play has been bad, but I don't think he's had much to work with. Plus since we've never had that great of a pass rush, his secondary isn't being done any favors.
Parcells gets one more season from me. He's had 3 out of 4 winning seasons and brought us to the playoffs twice. The team is much better than it was, but it's still not playing up to its potential. But the key is that he's got to get rid of Zimmer, provide of with a solid pass rush, and if a guy like Bradie James can't get the job done...find somebody who will. I don't expect it to all be smooth sailing, but as long as he's improving the team and getting rid of people that can't get it done, I'll take that. If he's not doing that, then it's time to look elsewhere.
