Sure. And it was all such an inconvenience to him so a full plane of passengers & crew had to de-plane, re-plane, and get to their destinations 2 hours late.

I have to be honest I wanted OBJ a lot about a month ago. The longer we wait the less interested I become. I wanted the OBJ that would be willing to sign weeks ago and already be at practice and meetings developing relationships with his coaches and teammates, while also collaborating with the medical staff here.

I wont say it's too late, and I wont sit here and say that I wont be excited if they do sign the guy, but my enthusiasm has gone down considerably. Especially with visiting two other teams this week prior to Dallas. Either he wants to be a Cowboys or he doesn't, I'm over the drama.

He wants to be whoever pays him the most money.

if its an upgrade over the current 4th WR (Tolbert or maybe Washington soon), then I guess so.

But its not as big a deal as the media wants it to be. 4th WR isn't going to have a huge impact.

No idea why Dak doesn't go to Brown. Rush had success targeting him, but since Dak returned, Brown is kinda quiet.

Brown is probably the third or the fourth read. And Dak can't count higher than 2.

I'm sure someone has already brought this up but the later we get in the season the more I wonder if bringing in OBJ is going to hinder this offense more than it will help. Ideally, we'd want him in uniform this week or next week as the next 3 games are against AFC teams with weak records and would be perfect for OBJ to get his feet wet, as I'm concerned that his dynamic will take some getting used to from his perspective and from Dak/Kellen's. Of course it will be great to have another weapon on the field the defenses have to account for (at the very least to free up someone else), but I'm worried that his insertion into the offense will cause Dak and Kellen to start forcing him the ball, he won't like the limited touches he will get per game, and we will get away from the play calling and offensive production that has us averaging close to 30 points per game since Dak's return. I wonder if utilizing the 3-headed TE monster, Pollard lined up at WR, etc., will, in the long run, provide better results that are harder for opposing defenses to scheme for than adding OBJ and running more predictable 11-personnel plays?

Obviously the perfect scenario is OBJ coming in, being a perfect teammate, Kellen getting even more creative with his playcalling and creatively utilizing all of his weapons in an unpredictable fashion, Dak and OBJ having immediate chemistry, Dak continuing to make great reads and throws and not forcing anything to OBJ just because he's there (and potentially demoralizing Ceedee in the process), but with OBJ likely not suiting up until the last 3-4 games at best, I'm worried that working out the kinks too late in the season with the NFC East on the line could cost us.

TL;DR - Adding OBJ could disrupt the currently very productive offense more than it will help them, and why mess with a good thing? That could result in losses, which is bad. Winning is good.

The depth at receiver is frightening. We're dangerously close to trotting out Brown and Tolbert as two of our top three. It's what makes me hope we can come to reasonable terms with OBJ.

OBJ can still high point a ball and can catch in traffic. Something you want in the redzone.

The problem is that was pre-injury unless he comes in and plays for vet min he doesn't help your team in the long run. Two knee injuries and one ankle injury on the same leg. How can any of us know what type of player he will be this year is it worth the money to be a #4 WR?
Not a whack on Dak but if this team had Mahomes or Brady or even Rodgers at QB then yeah maybe. This team thrives in setting up the run. Take that money give it to Pollard.

Negatives,

• Kellen Moore would want to feed him, become more pass happy
• Dak would feel pressure to get him the ball, ie force it..
• his injury history and him wanting a LTD is an issue.

So those are some negatives

My thoughts,

sure, a nice insurance policy to add a star like OBJ to the mix for the playoff run but there are negatives, think deeper.

he could literally upset the week-to-week gelling that been going on with our offense and our renewed interest in a strong run game balanced by 1 main target at WR with some others sprinkled in..Gallups getting better each game, we use a heavy amount of TE schemes and again adding a star demanding targets can upset the balance.

However, if the money was right, and the contract time was for the remainder of this season, and the dude can pass a medical and a harsh workout, I might send someone else across the street.

Some are still reticent to admit that sending Cooper off was indeed a mistake. You wouldn't need Cooks nor OBJ.

Why can't he sleep in team meetings, they are stressful. Those coaches always have attitudes.
