I would love to see them go far but in my bones i feel that feel like its going to happen again

With 5 games to go in the regular season and the NFL landscape this year apparent and the Cowboys almost certainly headed for a playoff berth, I think it's a good time to take your temperature.

How are you feeling? Are you in or out?

Emotionally everybody's in but what does your mind say? Will they make a run? A run being at least an NFCCG appearance. Or is this the same movie with the same ending?

Does this year just feel different?

This team..Make the Super Bowl.....Sheeeeeeeee...See Senator Clay Davis from the Wire. But anything can happen. But that is the problem...anything can happen.

I’ve been a life-long Cowboy fan despite growing up outside DC. And like others here, wait year-after-year for the Cowboys to win in the post season.

But I think the playoffs brings a different intensity and the good teams match that intensity…and for whatever reason(s) the Cowboys just never seem to match it: flat play, poor play calling, no emotion or urgency.

We saw that last year with San Francisco; they smacked Dallas in the mouth and the Cowboys wilted and couldn’t match the Niners’ intensity for all four quarters.

I think records don’t matter in the playoffs…the better teams win outright, or find a way to win. The Cowboys have not shown that resiliency at this point.

If the Cowboys get bounced from the playoffs early, I’m sure Jerry will find a moral victory of some kind to tout to the team and the media.

I just have a feeling we’re going to the SB this year. Will it happen? Who knows. The D is the best we’ve had since the last SB era IMO. I wish our two corners hadn’t gotten hurt however. But the youth talent is all over the place which is reminiscent of that.

The offense is getting better and better every week too. Having said all of that Moore will have to bring his “A” game come playoff time.

I'm a fan all I can do is support my team and have some faith in them. I'm a big boy I can handle disappointment so not worried about that. Realistically I look at this team and see several big time players making plays both sides of the ball. I take nothing away from the other top contenders and look forward to getting a shot at them.

As long as the defense and OL show up in the playoffs I feel great about a run.

I'm sure there are some trolls for sure but the majority are big fans. Certain players are going to get crap thrown at them especially the QB position. Romo used to get killed as well. If this board was around in the 90's Aikman would have as well. QB position is a lightning rod good or bad.

I doubt it does. Trying to say it to believe it still doesn't work when they lose. I bet they will be right back on this board complaining, if it didn't hurt they wouldn't come back to complain.

Assuming we even get to the Eagles or Niners. I have doubts we can even be competitive against Brady. This team has so far given me zero indication that it can hang with an elite QB. Doesn't seem to matter how much more talented we are, we just mentally implode. Hope I'm wrong in the playoffs.

Don't forget, it was our offense that blew it the first time with the Bucs. Now that they've been doing much better, and running more, I think we could definitely dispatch the Bradyeers.

The Cowboys are a much more complete and balanced team than any year since maybe when Parcel's took over. They have a defense that can support the offense for once. They have depth. They lost their slot corner and his backup Bland may be an improvement. Their rookie LB Clark is an improvement. Their kicking and return game is better. They're hitting their stride as a team at the right time. If not now, then it'll never happen.
