If we as fans are giving up - do we have a right to expect the players not to?

Just throwing it out there.

Good question.

Can we realistically expect a competitive team to emerge out of the tunnel in NC?

Maybe. I hope so. I hope we take out our frustration on everyone who crosses our path.

Do I think we'll see the Cowboys team of our dreams on Saturday?

I saw enough yesterday to know that's probably not going to happen.

So no, I don't want them to give up. I'll never give up on them.

But if we come out and play cautious football, then that's telling me Bill has no confidence in this team, and the only way to be successful is to play it safe. Don't take risks.

I SAY RISK IS OUR FREAKIN' BUSINESS! :star:

Don't worry about the playoffs. Outside of an NFC conf. game or the SB, the game we saw last night was the biggest game of every young player's life.

What more "experience" do they need?

WIN. IN DECEMBER. ON THE ROAD.

ESPECIALLY IN WASHINGTON. ALWAYS.

If you don't, you're not ready. So we need to get back on our feet, go home, and get ready. For the future.

I know all I need to know about the 2005 Cowboys.

Who in the NFC do we think that we can't beat? I know that we haven't played well on the road lately, but does going to Chicago scare you? They are the same team as 03 when they were 13-3 and were drubbed by the Eagles at home. Giants? We played terrible up there, and still had a chance to tie the game in the 4th quarter? Carolina? They can't run, have no # 2 receiver, and their conservative nature keeps every team in the game? Seattle? Why can't we go to Seattle and be competitive? I guess my point is that while we would be underdogs on the road to any of these teams ......... it isn't the AFC. Get in the playoffs, and anything is possible.

I think if we get in, we could win the first game, however now we have to win both and get some help just to grab the #6 seed

That's why I think it would be good to get in. We have no realistic chance of winning the SB but it would be good to get the young ones in there and better yet if we actually stole a game.

I certainly do but I have a realistic view in that we will probably lose in week #1, but so be it. I want in.
Why on earth would anyone but total losers & quitters NOT want in to the playoffs? And don't give me that bull about draft position. Why do you think players & coaches do what they do--to get into the playoffs! Yes, they may lose in the first round. You know what--they get experience. But at least they've BEEN in the playoffs. And there is actually the possibility that they might get past the first round.

You think Allen or Glover or Ellis or some of the others who might be retired by next year will say to themselves, "Oh, I'm so glad we didn't make the playoffs because we got a draft pick 2 higher than we might have?" Somehow, I think not.

You think maybe Woody has happy having that one last playoff run, brief tho it was, before he had to leave football? Anyone really want to say it would have been better for the team that year not to have made the playoffs so that their draft pick would have been just a bit higher? I'll bet Woody was pretty happy at being back in the tournament one more time.

Well, I'm not gonna call the guys that voted no,.. "losers" but I think it would be good for these guys to get in the playoffs to get the experience as I've stated before.

Me take is....if you're going to root for a team, root for them all the way.

Do I want them in the playoffs? Yes.

Do they have a chance to realistically win the Superbowl? No. It's not about that.

I respect everyones opinion but I say keep the faith and let's go as far as possible.

Do you have any idea how much more beer the ol' lady lets me drink when they are playing?

It's like a free pass.

OK -carry on.
