Fair and honest discussion here-

I'm 45yrs old, been a fan since '73
For the 1st time ever- I am actually embarrassed to be a fan. It hurts and I know it's just a sports team.... But damn every time I think it can't get any worst lately, you can bet it does. An endless string of full blown embarrassment to the PROUD BLUE STAR!

One seriously disappointed fan

No, I am not embarrassed. Angry, annoyed, dismayed, apoplectic----yes, embarrassed, no. The Cowboys are bigger than the Jones.

Sad. I'm not embarrassed at all. I lived through 1-15, Campo, now this. Besides it's just a game.

Are you in Dallas? I would imagine it is easier if you are local, but for me in NJ yes it is absolutely embarrassing. I know as soon as it is brought up I will have some imbecile start bashing Romo and I try to ignore but usually can't.

Disappointed? Sure.
Embarrassed? Nope.
Only 1 team wins a Super Bowl at the end of the season.
All but 1 team who made the playoffs, will end the season losers. It happens. You move on.

I don't know if embarrassed is the word, but I have never felt the way I feel right now. I need assurance that things will get better, but I'm not getting it.

After Jerry's open admission that he realizes Garrett is in on the job training and that he sees all the clock management mistakes he makes and still wants to keep him????? Yes, it is embarrassing to be a Dallas Cowboy fan. We have to be the laughingstock of the league now.

Not even close. Dallas isn't even the biggest laughingstock in the state of Texas.

Oh no...

this isn't bad.

Bad was '64 when they were truly embarrassing.

Next was the period from the '81 season to '89 when the Danny Whites and Steve Pellure's and the Chan Gailey/Dave Campo regimes of the world defined mediocre so bad they sold the team to Jones in the first place...

and now..

..comes now.

Embarrassed?

Seriously?

Things arent great, but why is everyone so emo all the time.

How do you think falcon fans feel?

Super Bowl favorites to 4-12

That'd be embarrassing.

It'd be fun to rehash the preseason prediction threads to see what these drama queens thought this team would do 4 months ago.

For the record I'm not embarrassed

Why would we be embarrassed? I might be embarrassed by who's our management and coaching staff, but I'm not about the team as a whole. So what we choked the past 3 years in week 17, half the teams in the NFL would love to be in a week 17 win and you're in situation. Honestly, you really can't ask for more then that as a fan, as long as week 17 is meaningful every year I'm happy.

You can say I have low expectations as a fan, but please, we have 1 playoff win in 20 years so I don't want to hear that mumbo jumbo.

My point..

60's?-Don't remember
70's?-Superbowls THE coach and a certain mystic
80's?-At least we were losing in the playoffs and Conference title games along with our mystic until the 49ers got lucky
90's?-Superbowls, SWAGGER and disappointment but we did have fun
2000's?-Nothing ZIP ZERO embarrassment galore--ONE PLAYOFF victory....ONE! Other than #22 & #73 that had CLASS

Only embarrassed about our HC. That's about it. We could have anybody we want if Jerry would just seize control, but for some reason he won't. I don't get it and never will. Could you imagine how much more money he could really make if he did the promotion and business side, and allowed somebody like Belichek to coach and run the team year after year?

This thing worth be worth twice as much!

Now is the time to be even more proud of being a fan than when they were winning championships.

You a fan through thick and thin? Then own it, be proud of it.

It's damn easy being a fan in the hay-days. Real fans stick through the lean years (now decades).

I wear the Star. Loud and Proud. You got a problem? Bring it. Who you a fan of? The Eagles? You guys win anything yet? Well... maybe one day you will. *pat on their head like a puppy*

I've experienced multiple championships. It was darn nice.
