Do you feel that this offense is "rolling"?

Frankly, you’re coming off as a troll at this point, Stasheroo.

When others try to defend the team against your criticisms by introducing context (e.g. level of competition) you dismiss it. You’d never accept an argument, for example, that Dez is better than his sub-par productivity suggests on the basis that he’s run a gauntlet of some of the league’s best corners.

But you’re prepared to accept that the offense might not be as good as its productivity suggests because it’s gone up against some weaker defences.

There’s a flat out inconsistency in the way you approach evaluating apparent weaknesses and strengths. It gives the impression that you’re not really a fan but are more interested in riling up board members with anti-Cowboys positions.

If this is “realism” in your view then you inhabit a very dark world. One in which only bad news can be trusted and good news has to be viewed with suspicion. I don’t even want to visit that place.

We altered our attack and I feel will be able to score I'm pretty much anybody if we stick with it

Well they're playing better than they have all season but I don't know. Is Zeke going to play all season? Is Tyron's back going to hold up?
Indeed...big question marks...so classic that just as Zeke has played himself back into 2016 form he gets suspended...would be a shame to have the defense getting healthier and the offense beginning to gel and fire on all cylinders to have something like that be the derailed...the NFC is wide friggin open in my book even with Phily's improved play.

And when you do that, you see that those scores are coming against the 24th, 16th, 22nd, and 28th ranked defense respectively.
Those defenses allowed 22.3 points per game against the rest of their schedule, and 32.3 per game against us.

Arizona 25.7 (28)
Los Angeles 18.5 (30)
Green Bay 19.6 (31)
San Francisco 25.2 (40)

avg 22.3 (32.3)

Nope, still need to do it against a quality opponent. All we've done is beat up on horrible teams.

Doing well offensively against which team(s) on our schedule would impress you? I'm not being a jerk, just seriously asking.

I do think the offense is playing well, but I'll have to see how they do against defenses like the Chiefs and Eagles before I believe they can do anything against playoff level defenses since their one showing against that level of defense was abysmal. The defenses they've played the last couple of weeks are really bad because they have played maybe 2 even above average offenses, and half of those occasions the teams put up more points on them then Dallas did.

That's an excellent point. It gives me more more faith that they're getting things together and maybe they really ARE that good.

Please, show me where that's happened. Show me where someone has "introduced context" in "defending the team". If I'm guilty of "dismissing it", I'll apologize. I'm interested in a discussion on this subject, so if someone's is bringing information to the table, I don't want to shut that out.

Again, please show where I've done that.

Sur he has, but when does he "win" one? How many corners are in that "gauntlet" now?

But you’re prepared to accept that the offense might not be as good as its productivity suggests because it’s gone up against some weaker defences.

Is that not a valid question? Does it hurt your feelings that I asked it?

Again, how so? Please give me a few speciifc examples of what you're claiming?

Sorry if the "real world" and tough questions hurt.

Yep. Theres an opportunity. Heck beat the Eagle twice and discount the game in hand and the record is the same.

The offense is as good as any other club in the NFC. The Cowboys can score.

They’ve been decent, but the pass blocking needs to improve, and they need to keep pushing the ball down field. They also have to continue to convert 3rd Downs. It seemed for a few games they were struggling with that.

They need Elliott on the field doing his job. Stop wasting passes and get the OL firing on all cylinders.

The offense is the last thing I am worried about. Even on their worst day they can do enough to win a game with competent defense.

Outside of the Denver game, they have been fine.

I just don't care for a lot of the design of the passing game. If a team can stop Elliott, it falls apart.

I cannot decide if you are applauding my post or insulting me with Garrett's image.

Not an insult at all.. You were talking about the play designs and I was applauding you. From the very guy who designed them

Stash is one of the best posters here. Very fair. Capable of ripping or praising the team when he sees fit. A troll he is not. That label gets thrown around way too loosely by the sensitive.
