The Dak haters come out 6 times a year it seems. Let’s tell the truth for once guys, Dak is second team All-Pro and is not middle of the pack or below average. He played like a top 3 quarterback this season.
What happened yesterday?

he puts up big numbers on the field again and again with sub par defensive units so don't build him up more then he is

if you're thinking of Trey Lance development, then are we sure that McCarthy is the best coach for Lance's skill set ?

if McCarthy is gone, who then becomes Lances' mentor ?

Regular season is meaningless if they get to post season. Dak has played his worse in playoff games. He just doesn't have "it". 8 years now so he won't get any better.

If the cowboys end his contract, the current roster will be melted down.

It had to be written with the intention to extend

So Dak is the reason the Cowboys lost? He was not the sole reason we were 12-5. I will admit there is no way I give Dak an extension. Let him play out his contract and hope a team like Pittsburgh or Atlanta want him enough that they offer trade capital and a long term contract so Dak will left the no trade clause.
When you are down 27-0, 2 min before halftime and 42-16 with 7 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, then the quarterback is taking the majority of the blame.

He is a mediocre QB. 8 years into his career and he still has people like you fooled. He only shows up against weaker teams. When he faces adversity, he crumbles.

I quit watching at halftime, I've seen that movie before.
I'm right there with you. I left the game at halftime. I quit watching the 49ers game before halftime. You can tell real quick how ****** a game is going to go, and I'd rather play Mortal Kombat than watch the team go full-ruhtard. I left the game early because I couldn't stomach Packers fans celebrating en masse again. I feel pure rage when I think about experiencing that at the 2016 playoff game. It suuuuuucked.

We are already 11 million over next years cap with players like Lamb and Parsons getting expensive new contracts or tagged. We already have no choice but to lose guys like Tyrone Smith and Biadasz because we can't afford them. Gallup is gone, Kearse is gone. We have needs at RB, C, LT, LB, DE, DT and FS. Those are expensive holes to fill and we will inevitably have to go with our guys or a bargain FA. So do you think the team is better or worse than this current squad if Dak gets paid?

I get it some of those guys aren't a big loss but you still have to replace them and you can't be active in FA when you've paid your QB like he's top 5 when he's clearly not and you have no money to spend. Some projections have Dak setting the market and being the highest paid player in the NFL, that is insane to me for what he is, INSANE!

Does anyone here legit think Dak has the makeup of a championship QB regardless of who's coaching? Even if signing him means we have to bargain shop for role players? CAN Dak Prescott carry a less than stellar team to a super bowl win and if the answer is no then you have to move on and find the guy that can.

This is a precarious off season for Dallas, this where a true GM earns their pay and we don't even have a real GM.
Dallas has to keep Dak due to contract issues. If they're going to pay Parsons and Lamb, you can't have Dak at a 60M cap hit. You can't even have him at half that.

I really don’t care what they pay any QB. Why should I? It’s not my money.
If he’s the best QB available to them, pay him. If they think they can bring in a better QB, then do that, but as a fan, I don’t give a hoot about any player’s salary.
