Play ‘em. The fact that KM is interviewing for a head coach position means his head is elsewhere and that’s got me concerned. We are already struggling enough on offense. Play ‘‘em to see how much fight is in this team and to get some sort of continuity on offense. Go Cowboys!

As long as we have as much as a 1% chance of getting the 2 seed, we have to play our starters. There can be no quit in this team.

no quit in this team? Have you watched the Raiders or Denver games? AZ game?

Had we beaten Arizona I’d say yes but hell no right now. This team needs live reps and needs to build confidence. Full steam ahead if I’m in charge.

Yes only because I’d rather have the better draft position. A win does nothin for us.

Completely depends on what PHL does. If they're not going for the win and playing their starters, what good will it do DAL to play against backups?

I wanted DAL to gain some confidence, because I do think that is lacking, going into the playoffs but this game has become irrelevant and flexed to primetime for nothing.

Rest as many as possible…. Too late in the season to try to gain some rhythm/momentum…. This team is too injury prone and finesse to play all out now that the 2nd seed is all but lost (last week was our chance). The cold weather also means more potential for muscle pulls, strains, etc…

Since this seems to be a hot topic among fans, I made an official CZ poll for it.
well there no middle like how long they pay etc start the regulars for a series or two then get as many of the field as possible.

Im not sure what potentially playing well against the Philly 2nd stringers will really prove or how it benefits the Cowboys. We saw what blowing out a depleted WFT 2 weeks ago proved. Not much the following week when facing a real team.
yes it wont help them play wise, but it could change their seed standing.
Seeding depends on the other teams whether they win or lose, and it is quite convoluted.
They can know it may change, but to what no one can say. who they would then play in wc round would also be unknown.

Philly isnt going to go all out to beat dallas, since they might play them again a week or 2 later, they will save their best or surprise plays for that possible next
game.
Maybe they want to keep dallas at 4 seed, so if that is case then they should try to win the game.
I have no clue what either team wants or thinks, so dont know who to pick in jff game lol.

Hopefully Mr Prescott will play into the third quarter so he can continue to work on/practice the forward pass. It can be a tenacious beast to slay.

Go Cowboys!

Those that can play, should play, at least the 1st half. However, I’m all for letting injured guys sit (Tyron, Zeke, Pollard, etc.).

The fact that we’re resting starters leads me to further believe that we’ve been reserving some of the playbook for the playoffs. We’ve had a pretty large lead in the NFCE for quite some time and had the playoffs secured.

I don’t think these coaches are dumb and they realize that we play our best when the run game is going. Perhaps they wanted to reserve Pollard and Zeke’s energy and health for the playoffs. Wasn’t really worth the risk the past month and a half especially with both dealing with injuries.

I think they still remained conservative against Arizona. Two reasons, not wanting to show our hand with the strong possibility we see them again in the playoffs & also seeing Green Bay was facing Minnesota with a backup QB and then finishing out with the Lions probably left us with a very slim chance to get first place.

Since this seems to be a hot topic among fans, I made an official CZ poll for it.

I would take the starters, win or lose, out of the game after the 1st qtr. Then let the other guys get into the action coming up, they will be needed at some point in time. I would treat this as a preseason game for the games coming up. Good for the guys that don't get much live action.

The last time the starters played there...they lost.

I think that all the positives should start under a diseased blanket scenario.

Unless they have an injury they are dealing with, they should all play for a half. Especially the offense.

They did that against Washington and it didn’t carry over against Arizona.

They did it against the Falcons and it didn’t carry over against KC.

Playing good this week means jack squat for the next week. Rest your guys and make sure they’re healthy for the game that matters.
Absolutely shocking how many don't get this.

It sounds like they are a little with all of the players out.[/QUOTE

Diggs, Parsons and Brown out on D, Tyron Smith out at LT, and whoever else out, CAN we beat a freaked out Philly in their stink hole?

Let’s get healthy for the playoffs.

YES

I don’t care if the eagles win, we’re already in. I want Philly to rest their guys too.

Starting guys who could risk your entire playoff run for the sake of “momentum” or ticket sales or whatever the reason is soooo shortsighted. What if Dak pulls a hamstring? You just threw away a playoff run for a meaningless eagles game. What if CeeDee gets a concussion? Micah hurts his knee? Tank is thrown out and suspended the next game for throwing a punch? Diggs comes up lame? Gregory busts his hand?

There’s a million things that could happen which could jeopardize next weekend’s game. What are you getting out of this that makes it worth it? Blow out the eagles again for a nice glitz and glamour moral victory?

Indianapolis started 2009 13-0 and rested everyone for the final THREE games because of how meaningless they were. Didn’t even try for a perfect season. They made the super bowl because it was a great call. Playing anyone important in this game is not.
