Do you think the Cowboys will bring in Ray Mickens?

Mickens was drafted in 3rd round same year as Keyshawn and Marcus Coleman. Year before BP arrived I believe.

I for one am WAY more concerned with RT.

What the hell do we do when Rogers injures his bum shoulder again?

This is a serious problem IMO.

Yeah, I can see that ... I'm not farmiliar with Mickens history ... has he played for Parcells, did Parcells scout him?

I know he went to Texas A & M, but I don't know if he ever played for Parcells. Seems like he's pretty old though ...

I have seen a few NFL Films coverage of Parcells and the Jets where Bill just chews out Mickens and benches him in one instance. This was early in Mickens' career. It was comical.

I didn't realize Mickens was waived by the Jets. Hey, for a minimum deal, he can come and compete.

Same thing we do if AJ, Peterman or LA re-injure their knees, or Rivera F's up his back again. Make do best we can. That's why we have Vollers and drafted Petiti.

Was Ray waived already?

That was the speculation since the Law thing heated up. Mickens would be the first to go.

There will be a lot of heads rolling in NY to make room for Cap Killer's contract..the question is just if they tickle down the guillotine, or flood.
Dallas would be wise to just stand back and wait for em. No trade talk necessary.

Ray...yeah, Coming off IR and the age are a concern. But he was a very competent nickle.

Bill used to promise him annually he would let him 'compete' for a starting job.. he was good enough in his prime, but so small starting him across from the equally dwarfish Aaron Glenn was iffy.

I prefer to see a young player developed as the 4th corner...but Ray would be some nice 'insurance'.

Price should be right...he might play for peanuts.. Bill already made him a millionaire in NY.

I Think Bill is looking for someone to play the slot if Newman gets hurt, I think the plan is when they go Nickel, Glenn lines up outside and TNew gets the slot, He said during his PC today, it takes a special player to play there because a lot of things happen fast in there. :trophy: :iggles: :suxiggle: :disseags:

InfalliBill did make this timely mention of a fourth corner who he is obviously quite familiar with, that he likes. Of course, he also happened to be released today.

This is a player who is prolly comfortable with Parcells and his demands. He is a veteran corner who could fill a roll - and in a cost effective manner. Not to mention, they share the same agent, Jimmy Sexton, if I am not mistaken.

I don't think his mention during today's PC was completely coincidental. I would wager Mickens is in Oxnard sometime this week.

Yep...I am not sure but it does seem interesting to be sure :)

i think frazier has earned the right... he was #2 last year (i know), surely he is good enough to be #4

Had Henry, Glenn, and Thornton back healthy. Doesn't guarantee anything for a UDFA.

I thought Thornton was fairly silent up until the last few days, so you have to worry if Thornton can continue and even improve.. I think Frasier probably has a leg up on 4th CB for two reasons. 1)He started quite a bit last season. 2)He is KR/PR that will help him when it comes to the final cuts if the rest of the CB play is nearly equal IMO
