hes not alone but 25 years of frustration will do that to some people
But I have been watching for 50 years so almost since the beginning give or take 8 or 9 years. I want them to win but everything else comes before football. Frustration is being married to the wrong spouse for 5 years. That easily trumps 25 years of not winning a sb. jmho

UPDATE...…...as of 12:36 AM, only 44% of fans have selected "YES"
Yep. A well-constructed argument can be made that a descriptor like 'most' or similar can be realistically used concerning the subject, even with the typical undecided option included.

Stating 'everyone', 'all of us', yada yada yada, is both unnecessary and an exaggeration. There is a difference in opinion and Captain Obvious would agree. Why does anyone assert something that is not true just to publicize their thoughts on this or any other topic? That is always my question, which often motivates me into creating polls.

Simple answer, yes because I'm a fan. But if I was told Garrett/Marinelli are gone for sure if we don't, I'm definitely on that side.

Rremember if we make the playoffs. We get pick 21 if we lose in the wild card round. And if we don't make the playoffs, we will get whatever corresponding pick someone at 7-9 or 8-8 gets so #15-20. I like taking a chance because any given day a team can string it together.

Some may wish going into more depth about their opinion but hopefully as many members as possible will cast their vote on the subject.
as much as I hate to say it, I don't. its not like we have a stable situation and perhaps catch fire like Giants did in their superbowl run. this is a freaking mess. a lame duck coach. a lame duck coaching staff. an owner who openly criticizes the coaches on camera. an owner who is openly looking for his next coach. a team that knows this coaching staff isn't going to be around and doesn't fear any punishment. a media circus. we have ZERO chance in the playoffs. ZERO. so for now, I hope we lose the next three games. I think the Rams are going to blow us out. even though we are favored. we will go on the road and lose a close one to eagles and then beat the skins at home. end up 7-9....that assures us a top 15 pick. as opposed to going to playoffs and ending up with the 21st pick.

the rebuilding process starts now.

If Jerry said pretty much every coach is gone regardless and many players will be auditioning for other teams, including our QB then my answer is Yes.

The last thing we need is short term memory of any playoff success justifying keeping these lingering deep seated issues.

With that said my answer is no. Half the starters (mostly defense) dont deserve to represent this team.

Even though simply being in the playoffs is dry meat at this point, I would more opt to miss so the issues can be even more glaring that we have to fix. That said though, i would love to stick it to the Eagles and prevent them from getting in while also doing something they could not do which is be repeat champions of the division.

I don't block people simply because they have a different opinion or perspective than mine, but since you've assumed that to be the case, don't bother responding. You know why.
You block people because you're a weak sort who can't handle differing thoughts. No big deal, but it's highly ironic that you'd declare it.

you should always want your team to get in the playoffs. Anything can happen when you get in. Packers got in 2010 with a horrible record by defeating the Bears the last regular season game of the year. Then got hot and won the thing. It happens. And if you win the Super Bowl do you really care who is the GM or the coach.
Packers had a highly disruptive interior DLine w/ Raji and Cullen Jenkins and a top 5 D in the NFL. And that "horrible record" was 10-6. Bit of strong adjective for 10-6.

Only 44% has selected YES...……...do you really believe 56% of this board has a loser mentality?

Just because you cheer for the laundry no matter what, doesn't mean you should question the motives of those who dont.
No, I think it's more than 56% sadly.

Put me in the "who cares" category. Don't get me wrong, I will be a Cowboys fan till the day I die but, realistically this team has little chance of being competitive in the playoffs as currently structured. The defense is atrocious, the OL seems to be a shell of its former self, the head coach still has no clue how to manage a team on game day, I could go on.

I guess now that I have typed that, put me in the "no" category because I think only then will we have a chance of real change.

I think some forget how long the offseason is. If we can watch them play in the playoffs and get one more game before that long offseason then why not. Maybe a nail biter. Or maybe we win. Maybe we lose. We have 3 games to get this going. At least root for your team to win.

Should I duck and run from the thread. Are y’all gonna throw batteries at me.

it was edited to Ware long ago...20 min. Guess it took that long to get your misinformed thoughts down. One thing I won’t do on this forum and it’s debate someone with a misinformed agenda or coming from a place of no knowledge whatsoever. Dense. That group consisted of a core that lasted into Wade making the playoffs. It was a massive upgrade. But you keep spouting your nonsense. It basically was a rebrand after Campo. Move along with some other gibberish

Yes it did take longer to reply because I actually looked up the stats for each of those players and going back to see if you changed your post just doesn't fly. All that shows is that you are easily confuse if two players have similar names or the same first names. It also show that you don't read very well because I did say those players were an upgrade from what the Cowboys had but where we differ is there is a difference between an upgrade and actually being stars and only 2 get credited by Parcells and we all know that it was Sean Payton who got Romo to Dallas. You need to learn the difference between an upgrade and bona fide stars.

If you would have bothered reading this thread you would see virtually nobody said the draft was the reason they wanted to lose, instead it was they wanted to see change come to the organization in terms of new coaching, new schemes, ect. Many stated that they feared Jerry would use going to the playoff as an excuse to keep Garrett, thus preventing these new changes from happening.

Why dont you get down off your high horse of telling people to go root for another team and understand their point of view instead. Maybe you are like Pavlov dog that just cheers when he sees the star no matter what, but dont question the motives or fanhood of those that do not.

Besides, only 44% have selected YES...……...so you think 56% of this board should just go root for another team?

I see you only root for players or coaches you like. If "fans" hope for the Cowboys to lose because of either draft pick order or coaching change then they really are Cowboys fans, they're fans of some players and when they are no longer with the team do you stop being a fan? I'm a Cowboys fan which means I hope they win every game and whether they do or not I'm still a Cowboys fan. Being a Cowboys fan I do so even if there are players or coaches I don't like, I still hope they win. I was reminded by a friend from Chicago who told me that Cubs fans waited 3 generations and over 100 years for the Cubs to win a World Series. For generations those Cubs fans bought Cubs merchandise, went to games and watched them on TV and we have "fans" here who complain about the Cowboys.

Again, move along, as I've seen in other posts you are just here to troll with no actual knowledge. Please stop, it's embarrassing. We had 3 straight 5-11 seasons. Parcells took the team to the playoffs the next year. Then in another year was a Romo snap from moving on. We went from talentless with no direction and he literally got us players..star and roll who started getting back on track. Try watching the below video. Learn something.

Here is my unfiltered opinion.

1. I don't give a rats arse about the argument that the playoffs brings money to the city of Arlington.

2. We don't deserve a playoff spot, it's an embarrassment that we potentially be given one.

3. I'm a HUGE fan and realize Garrett is beyond horrible and always has been, so the fewer the games possible it takes for him to be gone the better.

4. Jerry deserves total humiliation based on his actions toward this franchise as well as us fans and the media

5. With Urban Meyer potentially waiting in the wings, I can't wait to get this season over and done with so we can hear some real talk on Carrotts replacement.
